Oh baNANA you've got to go to Kew Gdns ...one of my favourite places in the whole world! Always something to catch the eye ...whatever time of the year.

I used to live in walking distance ...even though it is now a 2hr drive to get there, I still try to visit as often as possible. smile

Anagram and *Jacey I tried water-walking just the once. In the days of flower-power, I was offered a single puff on a "funny ciggie"...made my head swim...but not the rest of me! grin

Never been skiing, never eaten oysters, never owned a dog, used to really want one when I was a kid, but we only had cats and have to say I love them more than dogs now, although sadly don't have one at the moment. Never had a daughter, wanted one of those too, but got sons instead. However, revised my thoughts about girls having observed just how bitchy they can be, don't remember either dishing it out or being on the receiving end in quite the way I hear about some of the nasty goings on today, hate the way they persecute each other on line as well. Do have a 2 year old grand daughter now though so hope I can have some positive influence with her. Never been to South America really want to go, only got as far as Mexico. Similarly never been to Egypt really would love to see the Valley of the Kings. Never been to Kew Gardens and it's only a couple of miles away must rectify that one this year.

Am told cocaine worth trying for the resulting amazing sex. But never been offered any. Probably would have politely declined.
Playing an organ in a big church would be a thing wouldn't it. My grandfather used to. But I don't want to put in the several years of practice. sad

Yes JessM ...although offered never did any of the (illegal) drugs either! But did smoke cigarettes in my college days... don't know how any one could afford to now adays (or want to, now we know all the health risks)

Anagram Sat 12-May-12 15:11:52

jacey, soop didn't say she hadn't tried! grin

There are a couple of things on my list of never done Greatnan that I will pass on. Cocaine for example.

Greatnan Sat 12-May-12 15:01:11

I have eaten most things on that list, apart from puffin.
I have never broken a bone either.
Some of the things I wish I had done are dancing with a man with whom I was in love and who loved me in return, downhill skiing (too afraid of breaking a bone now), and driving right down to the toe of Italy (but I intend to do that this summer)
I don't think there are many things I have wanted to do that I haven't done, since I was divorced in 1979. There were lots of things I wanted to do when I was married and being single gave me the chance to do them.
I was 58 when I discovered snorkeling and it has taken me all over the tropics, wherever there is coral. I was 61 when I moved to France.
If there is something you have always wanted to do, and your health and income will allow it - DO IT NOW.

Most of things on the food list pluse tripe and oysters
Or drugs
Never owned a sports car( nor do I wish to)
Never scuba dived - hate getting my face wet so can only do breast stroke or drift on my back.

Jacey Sat 12-May-12 14:04:29

Oh Soop I thought everyone had tried that at some point! grin

soop Sat 12-May-12 14:02:16

I've never walked on water wink

Anagram Sat 12-May-12 13:27:00

I've never broken any bones.

AlisonMA Sat 12-May-12 13:26:04

Neither have I! I have never been offered drugs either. Could go on and on about all the things I haven't done but have written a 'bucket list' of those I want to do.

Jacey Sat 12-May-12 13:25:46

No tattoos, no body piercing, never had a perm.

As far as meat etc is concerned ...could be a very long list grin ...never eaten-
heart, brain, intestines, eel, octopus, squid, frog's legs, whale, seal, veal, puffin

That will do for the moment ...beginning to feel sick!

My husband could not believe I had never eaten a donar kebab! I would not eat one now because I don't eat meat and wouldn't go near a kebab shop. My mum reached her 90's before trying pizza. I've never had a manicure or a pedicure.
