Given my background of History and Music ,people would be surprised by the fact that I'm a devoted follower of Formula One.

Love the Dubliners, Gagagran! Also the Fureys and the Chieftains. There aren't many of their concerts in this part of the country, unfortunately. sad

ooh - read the same above to T-Rex

Queen - if there is no one about I put on a CD and dance around to any number. Have been known to play 'air guitar'

Don't know if I dare own up to my secret addiction! Oh go on then - we're all friends here! I adore The Dubliners - especially lovely John Sheahan the fiddle player. Saw them in concert 18 months ago and sat in the front row seats nearest John and he gave me the most winning grin. He is a superb musician and a really nice guy. I love Irishmen and their twinkle! grin

Humbertbear, it's The Boss for me too - he can do no wrong! Van Morrison (oh, and Status Quo....hmmm (!) Francis Rossi (blush)

Ditto, Ariadne. Similar background, similar tastes. Also detective stories (most recently Scandinavian ones) and some Sci Fi, specifically Ian M Banks.

Oh, definitely chick lit! Given my very literary background, it would (and did) surprise people that I'm happy just to consume a good story without having to work at it! So - Maeve Binchy, Marion Keyes, Celia A'herne, Jill Mansell et al. Not Danielle Steele though.

On the same theme Humbert, I LOVE Meatloaf and bellow his songs at the top of my voice while I am driving (don't tell anyone but I have even been known to do air guitar at traffic lights and I do know that isn't entirely apt!) blush I also love frozen chocolate flakes.

Last night I went to see Barry Manilow at the 02. My daughter and I have even been to Las Vegas to see him. Most people who know me don't know I like him and would be very surprised if they found out. Im seen more as a rock- chick (The Boss) and a classical buff. Who or what is your guilty pleasure?
