I was getting dressed this morning and layering up as feeling the cold i put on my fleece type jerkin, i think this is my favorite as it keeps me snuggly warm indoors and is great under my winter coat too. Whats yours??

It would have to be my woolly hat (but also like thick tights and those nice long sleeve vests that M&S and Uniqlo sell) - hate being cold!

My felted beanie hat bought in Canada a few years ago. Handmade and so totally unique it keeps the wind out of my ears.

I have a fleece one piece neckwarmer that I bought from Aldi a few years ago. It is so cosy, and can be pulled up to cover the ears, or re-worked to make a hat. I do also have a fleece beanie.

Cashmere next to the skin.

I wear M&S Heatjen long sleeved tops and leggings. I also love my down coat, bought for a trip to Finland one winter!

M0nica Wed 11-Jan-17 13:53:12

thermal socks over my tights immediately make me warm all over. No idea why.

Izabella Wed 11-Jan-17 13:54:41

A buff

M&S thermal vest under a fleece. Lovely!

TriciaF Wed 11-Jan-17 13:58:13

A coat - I bought it in a sale about 15 years ago. Not sure what it's made of, but it has a sort of bouclé texture, is very roomy and very cosy.
Plus thermal gloves.
What did we do before fleece though?

rosesarered Wed 11-Jan-17 14:12:47

TriciaF that is exactly the sort of coat I would like! I even saw Nichola Walker ( actress) wearing it in her role of a ghost in a detective series ( the one with a Swedish and possibly Aspergers detective as her boss.)Boucle texture and roomy ( I especially like the roomy bit.grin)

Today I will be glad of a very warm hat I have had for years, not exactly stylish but does the job on a cold windy day when I have to walk somewhere.

DaphneBroon Wed 11-Jan-17 14:17:27

Sounds decidedly chilly Izabella confused

TriciaF Wed 11-Jan-17 14:32:33

roses woolly hats - they seem to be all the rage this winter. You see them in many countries all over the world.
My friend knits them, she has them in all colours. I told her she could have made a fortune if she'd put them on ebay!

My M&S feather and down coat with a big hood is my favourite this year. Also I always wear leather gloves as my hands get very cold.

Katek Wed 11-Jan-17 14:36:21

Agree with the Buff, izabella - so versatile. That and my snood type scarf are my go to items in cold weather.

My lovely winter coat from Hobbs- navy blue full length in wool, smart and very warm. (bought it in the sale last year and still like new).

gillybob Wed 11-Jan-17 15:29:40

My DD bought me something similar to that this Christmas Greyduster . I think she found it in one of the Christmas markets. Its wonderfully warm. It has a kind of bib front and back and the top bit is a long funnel that you can pull up or down as far as you like. Its lovely and warm and ideal for my beach walks.

A Faux shearling coat with a hood. I've had it for years and every summer I consider throwing it out, but don't! It still looks like new and as soon as the temperature drops out it comes.

DaphneBroon Wed 11-Jan-17 15:45:34

My newish grey and silver lurex jumper.(I am finding it hard to take this off for long enough to wash it! )
It was reduced down from £95 to £47 in EAST's sale and I had £35 of gift vouchers from a John Lewis so it effectively only cost me £12!
It is a beautifully soft wool mix without being scratchy and quite glittery which lifts my spirits!

DaphneBroon Wed 11-Jan-17 15:47:05

Apologies Izabella what is a Buff? Clearly guilty of confusing it with "the buff"! blush

DanniRae Wed 11-Jan-17 15:53:06

Glad you asked that Daphne - I was wondering what Buff was! confused

Lazigirl Wed 11-Jan-17 17:18:22

"Icebreaker" merino long sleeved vest and for outside a Turtledove (reclaimed cashmere) buff.

Stansgran Wed 11-Jan-17 17:50:08

Ancient Aran cardigan and my NEW sheepskin scuffs.
Isn't a buff a muff you wear when stark naked for modesty purposes? Like those comic male strippers with balloons. Oh dear pour me a gin please

Ana Wed 11-Jan-17 17:51:36

Isn't that a willy-warmer, Stansgran? grin
