A friend has been rescued by the RAC.
The RAC man said that he's racing to beat todays snow because they aren't permitted to tow in the snow.
Yes I know that rhymes smile.
Rescued from Milton Keynes.
Going to Chesham where it's already Snowing.

No snow here in South Yorks as yet - my eldest son lives near MK so hope my DIL is not snowed in - he's in Italy this week so won't be able to rescue her.

Snowing for the last 15 mins. around Mk.

Snowing here in South Bucks too. We came home from Rummykub early as we didn’t want to drive in the snow. I think I am a bit of a wimp it is about half an inch thick ❄️❄️❄️

It had the audacity to snow here on the edge of West London about half an hour ago, I used all my mental powers (not many these days) to will it not to settle, and it seems I've succeeded with that for the time being. I'll continue to direct it to shove right off, should it try and blanket this part of the world again anytime soon. Sadly I'm not always successful as I'd like to be in directing the weather angry...damn it!

Snow here in Lancashire villages

No snow here in Norfolk. Sunny with a few clouds until the sun went down and it evidently rained last night. Still above freezing too.

GabriellaG54 Tue 22-Jan-19 17:27:37

Auntieflo Tue 22-Jan-19 17:32:07

Our back garden a minute ago. We are in Berks, and it is still gently snowing

Grannyknot Tue 22-Jan-19 18:23:07

Terribull I willed it away from South West London about half an hour ago! smile

SueDonim Tue 22-Jan-19 18:45:45

We never get snow in Oratia, thank goodness.

People typically "go to the snow" when it occurs further south in winter, to ski, snowboard and generally enjoy the white stuff but I hope I never see it ever again.

TerriBull Tue 22-Jan-19 19:01:09

Grannyknot - excellent a kindred spirit! we can use our powers of osmosis to ward off any potential snowfall. Two strong wills will surely get the better of the wrong sort of weather grin

No snow in S Yorks. DS1 in S Bucks reported it was snowing heavily this afternoon.

DS2 in New York reports temperature of minus 11C. I love being there but not at present!

Nannylovesshopping Tue 22-Jan-19 20:27:48

Guess I’m on my own here but I’m willing it to snow, and settle! Must be the big kid in me, I’ve always loved the snow?❄️☃️

shysal Tue 22-Jan-19 20:33:03

A good 1.5 inches here in Oxfordshire. Although it was forecast the roads haven't been treated so chaos on the local hills, the school buses and some cars getting stuck.

No snow in my part of Wiltshire yet. I love a bit of snow. Get the grandchildren, out snowballing, building snowmen and sledging. Good times fun all-round.

No snow on the coast in south Devon, but reportedy on the Dartmoor slopes. Just bitterly cold. Be safe everyone.

MrTumble Tue 22-Jan-19 20:42:21

Should that be snow person?

BBbevan Tue 22-Jan-19 20:55:32

No snow on the coast in SW Wales. A bit of frost and sleet but nothing more.

My flat is in Chesham, we always got snow - I used to leave work in Central London as soon as my friend called to say it was snowing in Chesham as I knew I had about 2 hours to get home before the trains were suspended. Now here I am in Wirral and it's snowing here too - DD has not made it home yet from work. No roads gritted here at all, same as was usually the case in Chesham ?
