Good Morning Everyone,
Have woken up to a dull but dry start this morning here in Brackley.
Usual shop, bank, etc.
And I may venture into Banbury later and try a few beers for a change.
Mick

Good Morning everyone.
A brighter day I’ve woken up to and there are some peeps of blue.
Shopping this morning and a few errands to run.
Enjoy your beer Mick and to everyone else I hope your day is good ?

MawBroonsback Fri 10-May-19 06:31:48

Good morning all from N Bucks where it seems to have stopped raining, but is still fresh.
I had a wonderful day at the V&A seeing both the Dior and Quant exhibitions ! Popped into the Natural History Museum too to see the Blue Whale skeleton. It is magnificent, but I miss Dippy. (Bought dinosaur eggs for the DGCs while I was there - you immerse them -the eggs, not the DGCs- in water and gradually over 72 hours they “hatch” grin )
Quieter day today, just catching up at home this morning then lunch with book group, discussing a book recommended by a relatively new member who practically never attends. It is truly dreadful and I am racking my brains to find anything positive to say about it. Might have to keep silent?
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Morning all from a damp and grey North Leicestershire.

Sainsbury's shop with a stop at the butcher's en route this morning. Then brew and cupcake at a new cafe in the village with a friend this afternoon.

I think I would have come away from a Mary Quant exhibition feeling somewhat depressed maw at the loss of my long slim legs. grin

Marydoll Fri 10-May-19 07:08:16

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow, but the sun is trying to peep through.

I have an emergency appointment with my rheumatologist first thing, as I'm not picking up as I should be. I need someone to "sort me out!" ?
It will be a stressful journey in rush hour traffic and of course no parking spaces at the hospital, unless we leave now!!!

Maw, I worked in a boutique, ( actually the clothes dept. of the local Co-op), where we sold Mary Quant make up, I was in seventh heaven, trying on all those samples of lipstick and nail polish every Saturday.
My dream was to own a Mary Quant lipstick, but my father didn't approve of me warering make up. ?

Mick, enjoy all your beer.
For all those who follow, have a good day.

Morning Mick and All.

Cloudy here in South Bucks.

Your day sounded wonderful Maw. The V and A puts on some great exhibitions.

Do hope all goes well for you today Mary when you see the specialist.

I’ve got one leg better than the other Kitty ?

Waiting to hear when my dentist can remove an infected tooth. Oh the joys of getting older.

Good Morning from a bright S Welsh coast, it is certainly much milder than earlier in the week.

Marydoll hope the hospital visit is successful and that they sort you out.
Have a good day all and enjoy your beer Mick

Urmstongran Fri 10-May-19 07:36:12

Good morning everyone from a dry and fairly mild South Manchester. I can see a few streaks of blue sky above the Pennines. According to the weather forecasts is going to be gorgeous next week!
?

Grandson is better so back to school for him today. No plans for me. Yay!

Hope you get sorted at the hospital this morning Marydoll it’s been an anxious time for you just lately.

Your day Maw sounded wonderful. I would have loved going too! I must congratulate you the way you seem to discover really interesting things to do. I used to have a friend who had great imagination too and it was fun to spend time with her. She would often take herself off to exhibitions and galleries. Bet your grandchildren will love those huge eggs!

Hoping Friday is kind to us all whether we have plans or (like me) none. x

BlueSapphire Fri 10-May-19 07:55:25

Good morning all from a grey Northampton, but at least it's not raining.
Had a lovely day yesterday, lunch and shopping with a dear friend. We usually egg each other on to buy something! She bought a lovely sundress(!), and I got yet another smart top to wear on my cruise. She tried to persuade me to get a dress as well, but I don't really need one, but might think about it if it came in the sale!
M&S cafe for coffee this morning, then a bit of top-up shopping in Sainsbury's.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Birmingham, where it is a lot brighter than yesterday! I’m waiting for my eldest daughter to arrive with her little son, who spends Fridays with me. We’ll have a walk in the park later, and spend lots of time reading and playing with a toy farm. I was thinking yesterday about my own children when they were small, and hoe rarely I could spend time playing with them one to one, and it’s so nice to be able to do that with my grandchildren.

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright, sunny, chilly corner of Somerset. Audiology with Mr C this morning then a top up shop. Not much else as pretty weary at the moment, CFS/Fibro flare up is hanging on. Hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Auntieflo Fri 10-May-19 08:15:49

Morning Michael, Annie to come, and all others who pop in here. It was very slightly misty when I first looked out, but is slowly clearing. My DH bought me a Mary Quant box of make up, way back, and I loved it. (his imagination has gone downhill since). Seeing a friend this afternoon, so lots of catching up to do. Have a good day one and all.

Sprout Fri 10-May-19 08:19:11

Morning Mick and everyone. Not so nice in Kent overcast and dull. When out with friends yester day we were lucky to miss each heavy down poor my wonderful husband must be looking down on me. Home today housework and washing all those tasks that H and I done together. Anyway you all have a good day whatever the Friday has in store. Marebell I hope they sort you out today best wishes go out to you.

harrigran Fri 10-May-19 08:24:53

Good morning from a dry, sunny NE. My computer tells me it is 0 degrees outside, I think it may have malfunctioned, can not be true.
DH has lunchtime hospital appointment but leaves early as the parking is difficult, daily treatment is hard enough without having to worry about somewhere to park.
Did my shopping at 7pm last night and it was brilliant, the shops were quiet, finished in half the time it usually takes.

Brunette10 Fri 10-May-19 08:25:56

Good Morning from a dull Fife. Later today, couldn’t sleep last night at all. Just plan a tidy up this morning then off to look for paint again for new fence. Hope we get right colour this time. Marydoll, I hope this morning goes well for you. Fingers crossed. Hope it’s a good day for everyone.

aggie Fri 10-May-19 08:35:02

EllanVannin Fri 10-May-19 08:35:27

Good morning All x
Another dull damp day here in the NW. This weather isn't very good for the soul I must say.
I must get some photo-copying done for this PPI that's owing to me-----rather in my pocket than someone else's ! Then it should be full steam ahead with cleaning in readiness for D's visit fro Oz next month. ( Some hope ) haha. I feel a bit like a wet rag this morning sad

Nothing like poor Marydoll though who has been through the mangle of late. I hope something can be sorted for her today as it's not nice when you're not picking up as you should.

Hope the day is a good one for everybody.

aggie Fri 10-May-19 08:35:53

I hope you get help this Morning Marydoll

Grammaretto Fri 10-May-19 08:53:20

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where the sun is trying a comeback. Here's hoping. On the bus to the dentist and then a busy day.
I hope you find a treatment to suit you Marydoll you surely are being tested. sad
Enjoy the beer Mick

oldgaijin Fri 10-May-19 08:59:43

Good morning from sunny Aberdeenshire. Just away out for a boring meeting, then gallivanting with chums, one of whom will keep the mutt, for a fun, birthday lunch.
Have a good day!

Pittcity Fri 10-May-19 09:06:06

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It was chucking down a couple of hours ago but the sky is now clear. I expect sunshine and showers again.
Will be donning a Mac for a walk into town.

gillybob Fri 10-May-19 09:36:03

A late Good morning everyone . What a strange week it has been for me I don’t know whether I’m coming or going . So glad it’s Friday though ( although sadly I doubt I’ll get a half day today as playing catch up ) . Being away for 3 days at the beginning of the week was a bit strange and has thrown me into all kinds of disarray having to go back to “that place”
On a Thursday , yuk . To be honest I almost wish we hadn’t bothered as it seems to have caused havoc .

I’m so sorry that you haven’t responded to treatment as you should have Marydoll and that you can “get sorted out” today ! It’s stressful enough going to hospital without worrying about getting there and finding somewhere to park isn’t it ?

Hope everyone feeling down or poorly feels better soon .

TGI Friday x

Greyduster Fri 10-May-19 09:51:14

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Wet wet wet in South Yorkshire again. I have a filthy cold this morning and am supposed to be taking some trousers I bought back to M&S. Knew I shouldn’t have gone there! There than that, a quiet day. Have a good one folks.

Nannyfaraway Fri 10-May-19 10:01:31

Good morning everyone from a sunny Cardiff. Going to have a day out most the best of my bus pass.
