Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking cooler and a little bit grey over Brackley this morning.
Yesterdays Glaucoma clinic was a bit of a farce at first , I had to have a field test as well.
Anyway, the part where your eyes are photo'd it was not working , I was told I may have to come back at another date, but things improved as I was going it my field test , the machine had started to work, so had field test, and then waited for the part of having eyes photo'd without eye drops.
At least it saved another appointment as well.
Mick

Morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershre.

Yesterday sounds entertaining for you mick. I'm glad it turned out ok. Did you get the results yesterday?

We had a good catch up with dh's friends - once we got past everyone's health issues.grin The food was not as good as usual so we might have to find a different venue for next time.

As it is Dementia Awareness Week, I am helping on another Alzheimers Society stall - this time in John Lewis. A perfect shopping opportunity!

Then the school run in Derby!

Enjoy your days everyone .

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a sunny Glasgow.

Mick, I have frequent eye checks due to my medication and the one I hate most is the field test. I start to panic if I haven't seen a light for a minute or so and start pressing at random, which defeats the purpose of the test.
My DIL, who usually does the tests, stays very calm with me, but I know I drive her mad! grin

DH is up early and out to play golf. I'm glad as he has spent the last month visiting hospitals with either me or his brother and has to cancel a nunber of games. He needs a break, as I can see the stress taking its toll on him.

I shall play my music loudly and chill!
Have a good day all.

Morning Kitty!

Resurgam123 Wed 22-May-19 06:34:54

Good Morning Mick
Good morning all.

Mick I also have regular field tests. I always think that I have missed a lot of the dots but so far it seems I have not.

It's in the women in my family.
Have a good day.

Ginny42 Wed 22-May-19 06:39:29

Morning Mick. What a faff at the eye clinic, but at least it was all sorted in the end. Very grey morning in Cheshire after a glorious day yesterday.

Got very cross at the garden centre yesterday because it's all been redesigned and you have to walk through several departments of food, household stuff and clothing to get to the plants - then back to the entrance for a blinkin' trolley. 'Blow this for a game of soldiers!' I thought, and came home. Must go back and get the planters sorted today.

Resurgam123 Wed 22-May-19 06:43:17

Marydoll , I have the same angst with me on the field tests.
I have now just been referred for a cataract replacement.

Resurgam123 Wed 22-May-19 06:46:53

Ginny42.
Is that possibly Bridgemere? .

Urmstongran Wed 22-May-19 06:53:59

Good morning everyone from a grey and slightly drizzly South Manchester. Never mind, we leave in an hour for the taxi to Manchester airport as we are off to Malaga for a month. I love the complete chill out with no calls on our time, apart from any socialising we choose to do.

Wonderful.
???

Hope Wednesday is good to us all whether we have plans, or none. x

Good Morning everyone and all who follow.
Field tests do not sound like a picnic.
My blood test results yesterday were ok. I had been anxious about them so maybe I’ll calm down now.
I hope your DH enjoys his golf today Marydoll
Homework for me his morning and then watching Chelsea this afternoon and pottering.

Have a good day everyone ?

Another beautiful start to the day here on the NE coast. The sea is shimmering.
Good morning Mick and all to follow.
I’ve had similar field tests done a few times in the MS clinic and I know exactly what you mean about panicking and pressing randomly Marydoll . Mine is always done with those sticky pads stuck on my head and body (it’s more to measure reaction). Anyway I hope you are feeling a little better today.

Nothing exciting to report from here today, just usual breakfast cafe (one less than yesterday as Evie has gone home) but the rest are just getting themselves sorted ready for full waitress service. Then school runs and off to “that place” for another day of mental torture.

Anyway it’s Wednesday so we are at the half way point . Thank goodness.

Have a good day everyone x

It’s dry and brightish on Severnside.

Then Kenwood House this afternoon, i had never heard of it but when i googled it it looks beautiful. Just hoping the sun does come out as i hate having to take jackets and brollies everywhere'just in case'
Have a great holiday Urmstongran and a lovely day is wished to all.

harrigran Wed 22-May-19 07:12:14

Good morning, another lovely day here in the NE.
Sister is flying home today and DH is taking her to the airport before he goes to his hospital appointment.
I will do a few jobs around the house as nothing got done yesterday, every muscle and joint hurt.

Nannytopsy Wed 22-May-19 07:18:52

Morning all! Grey sky but bright in Leicester this morning. Took my self back to eye casualty yesterday and resisted the triage doctor who tried to persuade me to go home. 4 hours later, I got a completely different diagnosis to the last two visits and I have much more confidence. Pharmacy cannot get the drops until today but hoping for an instant cure! Then it’s crack on with packing for our holiday!

Good Morning from a bright Black Country.

We had a lovely day yesterday, visiting Leominster and Westbury Mill Water Garden, we were very lucky with the weather too, as it was sunny but not too hot.

Today I am meeting friends at 9.30 and we are walking along the canal to the Fishing Lakes where there is a rather good café, and it is lovely to sit outside there.

Glad your appointment worked out ok in the end Mick
I know what you mean about pressing randomly Marydoll, I sometimes have to have hearing tests and I am sure I hear a 'sound' where there is none!

Have a lovely day everyone.

Harris27 Wed 22-May-19 07:29:45

Good morning from the sunny NE. Another day at work but off tomorrow hope it's sunny will spend it in the garden bliss.

Justme67 Wed 22-May-19 07:36:53

Good morning to you all, a little overcast, but another bright day is forecast, and I plan (oh! the plans I make) to clear out the old pots and plant up one or two bits and pieces I bought, but for the past two weeks I have also been planning to clean the windows and hang the new curtains, I wonder what will win? in the meantime, I m going to have a nice cup of tea, and hope that you all enjoy your days, where you can.

Brunette10 Wed 22-May-19 07:37:11

Good Morning all from a bright fife. DH birthday today and also have DD and DGS's to celebrate. Wishing everyone a good day.

Pittcity Wed 22-May-19 07:52:52

Good morning from sunny Colchester. No rain in the forecast so the hose will be out this evening as my veg patch is just getting going.
Usual Wednesday morning coffee meetup.

GabriellaG54 Wed 22-May-19 07:53:54

Good morning all, esp Urmstongran envy yes...enjoy while you can. Palm trees, Sangria and sunshine. Some people make you sick wink
It's a blue/white sky in Godalming with sun promised today and I have been for my run super early at 05.20 as running buddy on hols.
Garden centre today and painting troughs.
I hope you all have a good or better day and feel the warmth of the sun easing any aches and pains.

Morning Mick and All.

Sunny with cloud in South Bucks.

I too have all the eye tests. My optician said that if I miss a click on the field test the flashing dot will reappear later in the same place. It’s the machine that puffs air on my eye I don’t like.

I think I can hear your music Mary down here in the south. ?

NannyJan your day out sounded good. My dad who ran a number of cinemas had one in Leominster, Ludlow etc all long gone. You brought back good memories for me.

Cleaning up the house as I have a friend coming round for supper tonight. DH off to do some GC duties for 2 nights before we both go down on Sunday for a week of overseeing the boys ?

Sprout Wed 22-May-19 08:15:22

Morning Mick and all. Better nights sleep which helps. Overcast here but the sun is trying to get through. Garden mowed and looks much nicer. A bit of housework today. Hope all have a good day whatever you are doing.

cornergran Wed 22-May-19 08:28:47

Morning Mick, morning All. Horrid night, just surfacing to another sunny morning, weather forecast tells me it’s cloudy hmm. Good day out yesterday, finished up at Dunster Castle. Coffee and lunch with a GN friend encouraging me to get on with the day, another good one ahead. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.
