Which instant coffee do other GNs recommend for an early morning boost.

I know the purists will say I should grind my own beans but first thing in the morning I have trouble even remembering my name and need a good strong kick of caffeine to get going

Kendo Rich, really enjoy it.

I use Kenco Rich, i used to like nothing ut Nescafe ,but it doesn't seem to taste the same these days

MissAdventure Sun 21-Jul-19 10:42:18

Nescafe gold blend, but it does seem to have changed recently. (Not for the better)

Dolcelatte Sun 21-Jul-19 10:42:29

Azera Americano

MissAdventure, we always bought Nescafe Gold Blend but it has definitely changed for the worse. The very cheap one from Aldi is better but I'll give Kenco Rich a try.

Alta Rica or Starbucks VIA Italian roast.

L’Or intense for us - the purple one. It’s made of Arabica beans whereas many of the older ‘good’ brands have odd mixes in them. It’s dear but I can always find it somewhere on special. Kenco Avazzo is also well flavoured but leaves a sort of coffee ground mud in the bottom of the cup which I’m. It such a fan of.

Douw Egberts. Am currently on the prowl for a better decaffeinated coffee, which I drink for the rest of the day.

Chewbacca Sun 21-Jul-19 11:06:47

Millicano full roast

Has to be a matter of taste. If it needs to be 'instant' then Azera Americano is my favourite, otherwise, then grind my own beans and savour the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting around the house .Usually a good rich Kenyan bean.

Nescafe Ala Rica or Cap Columbie- tried everything else and nothing is as good.

Teetime Sun 21-Jul-19 11:10:05

Alta Rica!

Thank you fellow caffeine fiends! Several coffees to try - now which one first smile

Nico97 Sun 21-Jul-19 12:26:59

Nescafé Gold Espresso - very rich and satisfying.

Poppyred Sun 21-Jul-19 14:35:02

Columbian coffee from Aldi, £1.59 a jar, lovely.

Nannylovesshopping Sun 21-Jul-19 14:36:42

Aldi specially selected med roast Colombian is excellent and as cheap as chips!

seacliff Sun 21-Jul-19 16:19:23

Kenco Millicano Americano Intense Coffee. I used to get Gold Blend, then Alta Rica, but I thought they both changed, not for the better.

fairisle Sun 21-Jul-19 16:50:29

Alta rica,yummy!

Calendargirl Sun 21-Jul-19 17:00:35

Kenco Smooth.

callgirl1 Sun 21-Jul-19 18:06:55

I mostly buy Nescafe Original, but my daughter says that the supermarket brands are as good if not better, so I`ve just opened a jar of Tesco Gold Blend, and she`s right!

Morrison's Savers. In foil packet, fraction of the price (which is why we buy it). But an Egyptian friend said it was the best coffee he'd tasted for ages!
