Morning Mick, morning All. Clear skies over our corner of Somerset, not too hot I suspect with our sea breeze. Busy day ahead with two grandchildren. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Grammaretto Thu 22-Aug-19 07:06:17

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Bright and dry so far.
I'm getting excited about my holidays We are off this weekend. Such a lot to do beforehand but we'll get there. The car's getting new tyres today. I should get a haircut but I have probably left it too late. Why are hairdressers always booked up? Sigh!
A friend is coming over for coffee. That will be nice.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning to all and to those who follow. It's bright in Fife this morning but cooler. Let's hope they are correct in their weather forecast for our weekend. DGS1 got on swimmingly yesterday on his first day at nursery. It was very different only having a 10 month old to look after, house very quiet smile. Off to visit relatives today so have a fair journey in front of us. Hope today is good to everyone.

Morning Mick, morning corner, morning all.

It's quite bright in North Leicestershire and the forecast us for a dry, warm day.

Cleaner coming to work her magic while I am doing a huge shop. We have DD2 and co here for a week which always involves lots of visits from the other children and her old school friends.

I'm tired just thinking about it!

Good morning from east London, bright and sunny here. Helping at the foodbank this morning so need to be away by about half 8. Have a quantity of plums and crab apples to sort out having spent a fair bit of yesterday afternoon on the allotment our friend is looking after. Locating a muslin cloth is on the agenda. Have a good day.

Good morning all.

Envy you your visit from DD2 kitty although I too would be knackered at the end. It is always fun though when family visit.

Heard yesterday my DD is coming to look after me when I have my op which should be interesting as she reverts to being the child when she is home! Still it as the thought that counts - isn’t it?

Going to see Mum today and hope she is perky and sort of knows me.

Bathroom fitters here soon!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday Grammaretto pleased you got the go ahead.

Good Morning everyone.
I have overslept this morning and it is very bright and dry.
Lovely crafting gillybob. I enjoy it very much and am off to my class today.

I hope you all enjoy the sunshine today ?☀️

NfkDumpling Thu 22-Aug-19 07:27:35

Another wonderfully sunny morning here in the north of Norfolk. A day on the water beckons, making the most of the weather while it lasts. There's a touch of autumn in the air.

Nannytopsy Thu 22-Aug-19 07:28:38

Good morning everyone! Goes up your loins Kitty and stock up on gin!
DH off to school for the last time, for the GCSE results then he hands in his keys etc. The end of an era and the beginning of the next.
Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Lins1066 Thu 22-Aug-19 07:30:12

Good Morning all.
Dry here on S Welsh coast.
Took flowers to my parents' graves yesterday. Not an easy drive as it up a quite remote hillside.

Our granddog is being picked up by the dog groomers at 7.40.
Will take her for a walk later.
Have a good day all.

Resurgam123 Thu 22-Aug-19 07:31:21

Good Morning All. Rather grey skies at present in Cheshire.
Heres hoping for some sunshine.
Why does everyone but us in Cheshire get sunshine. ???

Marydoll Thu 22-Aug-19 07:37:40

Good morning all from a much cooler Glasgow.

I'm having a day at home today, until the nursery pick up at four.
As usual been doing too much and paying the price today, I'm pretty shattered.
I have lots of wee sewing jobs to do, that's the downside of having short arms and legs. grin
I shall plonk myself down in the conservatory, and binge on Escape to the Country, whilst sewing and experience house envy. envy

DD and her partner are popping in on their way to a short, Highland break this morning, so I shall have to rustle up some scones. The tins are bare.
I'm preparing for to nip my ears about bridesmaids's dresses, as DIL is dragging her feet.

Glad to hear you are getting away Grammaretto.
Enjoy your day, everyone.

ninathenana Thu 22-Aug-19 07:42:08

Good morning everyone.

Sunny but only 14c so far in Kent.
I need to phone the repair man as my washing machine, despite DH changing the fuse has no power. Hope it's repairable as it's been a very expensive month so far.

Enjoy whatever your doing.
Good luck kitty smile

Good morning from a bright and sunny ? Northampton.

Had a busy day yesterday mainly gardening, and then DD and I went out to our wine club's annual dinner in the eveving . A lovely meal was had by all at an Italian restaurant which specialises in 'cicchetti ', like Spanish tapas, but small plates of Italian food. Much wine was taken.... DD stayed over and she is just getting ready to go to work.

Nothing much planned for today, expecting a Sainsburys delivery this morning and then I may go to ballet class after lunch.

Hoping that today goes well for all.

Morning Mick and all. Everyone awake early today it must be that large thing in the sky shining brighly this morning. Looks like nice day looming. Lunch with besty today then get nails done then home to pack for trip to sisters for long weekend. Have a good day everyone

NannyJan53 Thu 22-Aug-19 07:51:18

Good Morning from a dull Black Country, but the forecast is good for the weekend!

We are going away early Saturday morning to a Beach Hut in Devon, so will pack today. Driving back Tuesday. Weather forecast is looking good sunshine

This morning I shall also wash down all our UvPc windows outside as they are looking a bit grubby! Then off to see Mum, then onto DD's as I am babysitting, will stay over the night as we are meeting up with DS and his girls for a day in a local park and farm.

DGD1 has the results of her GCSE Eng Lit today. She has taken it a year early, as next year is her GCSE year. Fingers crossed for her.

Wishing you all a lovely day..

Morning everyone from sunny Spain- hope it brightened up on the coast yesterday Urmstongran, we’re t’other side of dem mountains!

Everyone so far seems to be doing something interesting today whereas I’ve got nothing planned so we’ll see what happens- quite like a nothing day every other!

Urmstongran Thu 22-Aug-19 07:59:50

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s the start of another beautiful day. I’m sat on the balcony with a cuppa. No breeze but fresh air, not humid and I slept really well last night.

We might go to the beach late afternoon, when the sand is cooler for baby feet. It would be no fun in the middle of the day with a busy 2y old, trying to keep her under the shade of a parasol!
⛱?

Hope Thursday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Urmstongran Thu 22-Aug-19 08:01:23

Welcome back Pantglas1! How long are you out for this time?

harrigran Thu 22-Aug-19 08:05:36

Good morning from a dark and rainy NE.
Lots of fiddly things to do today which will involve a journey into town, something I only do a couple of times a year because it is not a pleasant place.

gillybob Thu 22-Aug-19 08:20:26

A late good morning from the NE coast where it is dull, dark and raining (for a change).

I’m just finishing my cuppa then off to “that place” in about 20 minutes, Thursday feels like I’m on “the home straits” and the weekend is tantalisingly close.

I’m so glad you got the all clear to travel Gramaretto I bet you are really excited now, I can sense the flurry of activity smile

To all those already in sunny climes (and that seems to be quite few at the minute) I hope you all continue to have a lovely time. sunshine

Enjoy your crafting Beechnut me and the girls enjoyed it very much and they can’t wait to go back again, we might try something different next time.

Mr Gillybob has announced that we might go out for supper this evening (blimey twice in one month what is he up to ?) depending on what time he gets done at work. It will just be a pub thing but better than cooking again.

Anyway must dash as a couple of bits to do before I leave.

Have a good Thursday everyone x

Greyduster Thu 22-Aug-19 08:24:52

Good morning Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire and I am having a post-GS lie in, our duties completed. We have overnight visitors on Saturday so a bit of rejigging of sleeping arrangements is required in order to accommodate them. May get a bit of gardening in too. Have a good day folks.

vena11 Thu 22-Aug-19 08:25:47

Morning everyone, sunny at the moment in Bristol, hope it stays out as meeting friends for lunch and a little boat trip on the harbour. Stay well everyone.

Pantglas1 Thu 22-Aug-19 08:27:19

We’ve a month here this time Urmstongran with a couple of old school friends coming next week so will be busy tootling around, eating and drinking too much!

Enjoy your supper out Gillybob, you deserve it after a day at the place that dare not say its name...!
