Morning Mick and all to follow.

Eerie layer of low lying mist over the marsh this morning in Kent.
DS killed his laptop with coffee yesterday. So I need to sort a replacement for that this morning. He's lost without it.
Have a good day everyone.

Beechnut Tue 10-Sep-19 06:45:52

Good Morning everyone.
Very much like Brackley on Severnside this morning.

I’m off for a swim after my breakfast and then the library which I didn’t get to yesterday as it rained.

I hope you all have a good day especially those of you off to hospital appointments. ?

Marydoll Tue 10-Sep-19 06:49:36

Good morning all from Glasgow, no rain so far, but I'm sure we will have some before the end of the day.

I'm home safe and sound after my wonderful holiday and survived the humiliation of my dirty laundry being exposed for all to see, after the overweight baggage debacle. blush
Despite always finding lots of bargains, we have never been over and DH was not amused, as although it was his luggage, much of the contents were mine, as I had run out of room. grin

The holiday has taken it's toll, as I now have the beginnings of a chest infection and also need a GP appointment to deal with the fiery rash all over my legs.
This is one of the reportable side effects of my meds, so I need to get it checked out ASAP , in case they won't do my angiogram on Friday. It's such a pain, as I will have to start phoning at 8am for an appointment.
I would post a picture, but it's not a pretty sight! ?

We have our wee granddaughter to pick up at lunchtime, so it's all go!

I will be thinking of GIlly and her DH today and send my best wishes for a speedy outcome.
Dragonfly, I hope you are beginning to feel better, but not overdoing it. flowers

Have a good day, everyone.

Goodmorning all x

Have woken up exceptionally early, grey and damp here in SE Essex.

Pottering around the house today, nothing else planned.

Have a good day all!

harrigran Tue 10-Sep-19 07:09:54

Good morning from a dry and brightening NE.
Gp appointment yesterday, I was told she was running one hour late so would I like my flu vaccination while I waited.
Result, that was the next thing on my list to book.
Car going in for service this morning but will have courtesy car and not be stuck in the house. Lunch out I think.
Thinking of Mr and Mrs Gillybob.

MawB Tue 10-Sep-19 07:11:02

Good morning and it is a gorgeous one here in the Harz - sunshine and blue skies but nippy!
Off up Germany’s highest mountain, the Brocken (no, not on foot, by narrow gauge steam train!) It is where the devil took Faust on Walpurgisnacht in Goethe's play . Also the inspiration, I believe for Mussorgsky’s “Night on the Bare Mountain”
So glad it is a glorious day or we might not have seen much.
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Greyduster Tue 10-Sep-19 07:13:20

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A good start to the weather in South Yorkshire with a dry day forecast. We are contemplating a trip to the dumpit site (oh joy), and then second school run later. Spag Bol for dinner. Have a good day folks.

gillybob Tue 10-Sep-19 07:21:51

Good morning from the NE coast where the sun is just peeping through the low clouds.

I am just about to open the breakfast cafe, a little later than normal but none the less well stocked.

DH and I will be taking the children to school “together” (well that’s a miracle in itself) and then carrying on towards the hospital where DH finally has his appointment with the consultant . I hope and pray they can offer him some temporary relief from the pain and discomfort and that his operation will be soon.

Anyway not a lot more to say this morning really except a huge thank you to all of those who have sent good wishes.

I’m sorry your holiday is over Marydoll and you have arrived home not feeling too good.

Have a good Tuesday everyone x

GagaJo Tue 10-Sep-19 07:21:57

Urgh! Teaching all day for 3 days (today is middle day) without a single free lesson. Have LOADS of admin to do too but no time until after school.

At my desk already.

NannyJan53 Tue 10-Sep-19 07:25:02

Good Morning from a dull but warm Black Country.

Alygran Tue 10-Sep-19 07:27:27

Good morning. Blue sky above low lying mist across the fields behind my house today. Feels like autumn in North Yorkshire!
It’s 2 years today since DH died so feeling very sad and out of sorts. Will take flowers to the church yard later.
Parents charity meeting this morning, tea with my lovely neighbour this afternoon and history society this evening.
Thinking of Mr and Mrs Gillybob
Hope the day is kind to you all.

Morning Mick and All.

Chilly start in South Bucks.

Back from a lovely few days hols were we visited a fab sculpture exhibition set in the grounds of the Manor at Avebury. Also saw ‘Kiss me Kate’ at the Watermill near Newbury. Our hosts invited us to join them one evening to sit by the small stream in their garden being warmed by a small fire. We provided the wine and nibbles, just lovely.

Back to reality today having my feet sorted.

So pleased you managed your much needed holiday Mary. Do hope you can get your doc’s appointment.

kittylester Tue 10-Sep-19 07:30:50

Morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

Carer's course this am and then I think some gardening is necessary this afternoon.

I won a box of chocolates at my niece's baby shower last night so I might have changed my opinion of them.

Good luck to mr&mrsgillybob! And, to marydoll with their medical appointments.

dragonfly46 Tue 10-Sep-19 07:31:54

Good morning from murky Leicestershire.

Hope all goes well today gilly and marydoll.

Bit of a setback yesterday. I had the dreaded drain out but they think I have an infection so on antibiotics.

Cleaner and gardener coming today though so doesn’t get better than that!

NanKate Tue 10-Sep-19 07:32:39

Best of luck MrGB.

NanKate Tue 10-Sep-19 07:33:57

Lins1066 Tue 10-Sep-19 07:43:26

Good Morning from a cloudy S Welsh coast.
Still in bed with a cuppa. A day of much needed rain here yesterday, forecast is drier today.
Best wishes for your DH's visit to the Consultant gilly, hope you get things sorted.
Lacock is beautiful NannyJan the setting for so many films and period dramas. The Fox Talbot museum is also excellent.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Susan56 Tue 10-Sep-19 07:44:58

Good morning everyone from Malaga. The sun’s up.

My husband returns to South Manchester today and I am staying on another week.

Does absence make the heart grow fonder?

All the best gillybob for your husband’s appointment with the specialist this morning. I do hope he gets surgery or a procedure soon that will enable him to feel better again. It’s an anxious time for you both I’m sure.

Busy Marydoll too! Your poor legs sound as though they need a coat of looking at. Hope your doctor can sort the problem for you.

Alygran ?

And Maw your holiday sounds amazing. Even though I couldn’t pronounce the words you wrote ....
?

Hopefully Tuesday will be kind to us all whether we have plans or (like me) none. x

Brunette10 Tue 10-Sep-19 07:59:52

Good Morning all from a wet Fife once again. . Off out for coffee with a friend at 10 this morning, didn't have a good night's sleep but I'll survive as we all do. Gillybob thinking of you and your DH. Mary glad you are home safely and you've enjoyed your hols. Shame about having to go to docs though. I'm sure all will work out. Take care all.

BlueSapphire Tue 10-Sep-19 08:17:49

Good morning from a very grey Northampton.

Goodness, so many people to think of this morning!

MawB, hope you have a wonderful holiday.

GagaJo I am so glad I'm not in the classroom any more! Good luck!

Marydoll I hope you find some relief when you see the doctor.

To NanKate and NannyJan who have been to the wonderful county of Wiltshire, I am so envious. Avebury is just a couple miles from where I spent my childhood, and Lacock also very close. There is a lovely garden centre in Lacock.

Hope all goes well for gillybob and her DH.

Thinking of you Alygran. It is just over 18 months since my DH died.

A bit of pottering this morning, then a Health Walk after lunch. This evening going to see Margaret Atwood live in cinema with DD and DDil - we are all fans, but I don't think I shall read her sequel to 'The Handmaid's Tale'. I couldn't face watching the follow up series on tv. I prefer her non-dystopian fiction.

Hope today is kind to all.

moggie Tue 10-Sep-19 08:22:42
