Are there any brands you’d like to see Gransnet work with?

I'm interested in reducing the amount of stuff in my bin. So washable products like Giggle Knickers and Modibodi would be good.

A trustworthy holiday company/tour operator specialising in 50+ breaks and holidays.
There is a lot out there for the much older customer and young families.
I use Fleetway who have always come up trumps but would love to have insight into other companies.

Would that impact on our being allowed to criticise anything these brands did or said that we might disagree with? For example if Giggle Knickers decided to stop using the word ‘women’ in its advertising because it was regarded as trans-exclusionary ?

Bluebella and Lovehoney? Not being entirely frivolous in these suggestions but being segregated on an over 50's holiday in my incontinence pants doesn't really float my boat.

I've always liked Oil of Olay products.

Could you do blind comparisons such as brands of face cream eg. Olay vs Cien ?

I agree with BBevan. Marks and Spencer need to listen to us, their prime target market. Gransnet is an excellent source of free marketing research for them, so why don't they listen to our comments?

I would rather you didn't work with brands at all, but think the current system of working one off with individual companies through prizes and competititions is fine.

I am with those who prefer no advertisers, nothing worse than all the flickering adds at the top of the screen and those which intersperse the posts. Please, no!

I think a number of companies should consider a more mature demographic and reflect that in their marketing. I like purchasing from small companies who do have more mature women modelling their products.

M&S are currently advertising denim on their website, with a number of young people (men and women) dancing and wearing jeans, denim jackets and shirts. It appears M&S don’t wish to target their denim clothes to anyone over 30. If I wasn’t annoyed by that, I would probably have bought something.

With the number of readers/members of GN, I think you are well placed to help facilitate the views and voices of older women being heard ?

Those asking for "No adverts" have forgotten that is would mean asking for "No income" - so we would have to pay for membership.

DB shoes as well as Hotter - the older you get, the more important comfortsble feet are. Hotter only have a couple of items in my width, and those are not at all stylish.
