Good Morning Everyone,
Its just daylight here in Brackley and we have had rain overnight .
Today after breakfast will do laundry , then will go out to Buckingham and Bicester as normal .
Mind you where I live extra precautions have come into play as well.
Mick

Morning everyone. No rain but very overcast now. E Kent is probably the driest part of UK...
Was horrified at the bare shelves in supermarket yesterday- first time in 3 weeks as I had lent my car to my DS2, wile his was being mended.
Visiting old frined in nursing home today - wonder for how long I'll be allowed to.
Hope everyone had a good night and is well today. X

Good morning Mick &grandMattie and all who follow.
We are off to London for a lunch and show to celebrate SiL’S 60th. She was offered the chance to drop out but chose to continue. I suspect London will be very quiet!
Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Good Morning from a wet Fife. Up early today, cannot sleep! A bit of shopping in the morning then we have DGS's for overnight stay. If rain persists will have to entertain them inside. Boys love staying at grandma's and we love having them. In for a busy weekend I think. Hope today is well for all, take care.

Good morning Mick and all from a cold and blustery Inverness !
Yesterday afternoon was lovely bright weather and the sun was shining so I enjoyed most of the afternoon pottering in the garden
Today I’m supposed to be going to DD2 for tea but she phoned last night to say DGS has started with a slight cough so did I still want to come ? It could be nothing much who knows, she’s going to phone me this morning to let me know how he is ...
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend whatever you’re doing and
stay safe ?

Morning Mick, morning All from a blessedly dry corner of Somerset. Mr C is still sleeping, tired from yesterday. An emotional, very personal and celebratory funeral, thank you for the kind messages. Need a top up shop this morning then I am threatened with more painting. Shouldn't complain, but I probably will! Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Beechnut Sat 14-Mar-20 06:59:49

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it has been raining.

During my shopping trip yesterday I noticed the pasta, tinned fish and toilet roll shelves were sparse. Plenty of food stacked on the floor ready for shelf filling. What I didn’t get though was that while the toilet roll shelf was largely bare there was plenty of packets containing 24rolls. I would have thought that these would have been the first to disappear!

I hope you all have a good weekend and take care ?

Good morning everyone from Malaga where the sun is just rising. I have a hair appointment late morning - need some more blonde in it now. Will go out for dinner tonight on the marina - maybe start with a cocktail down there first - porn star martini is my favourite although in the U.K. on the back of the #metoo movement there were mutterings about a name change to ‘passion fruit martini’ but so far it’s still the same. The bar is owned by Antonio Banderas who hails from here.

Our neighbours fly back home to Bolton today - he’s dying to get into his garden at this time of year and as they live in a large detached house they find their small apartment here a bit cramped for any long term stay. Unlike me!
?

brook I imagine your family dilemma is one that is going to be fairly commonplace very soon, sadly. Us seniors need to be cautious. Our dear adult children and cute grandchildren are the carriers of this virus with better immune systems than us. ‘Keep calm using extra caution’ is my mantra now.

Hope Saturday is kind to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning from a damp Oxfordshire , we had lots of rain overnight, but it looks as though the clouds are breaking up. The forsythia is still bright by the window and cheers up the front garden.
Not much to do today, popping out to pick up a ‘click and collect’ item, then I’m tackling each cupboard and drawer to have a sort and clear out.
Yesterday afternoon I started on the photo album cupboard, I got so caught up looking at old family photos that it is taking longer than expected. I’m wondering why so many albums have empty pages in them? So I’m filling them up and now I have some spare ones to put loose pictures into.
It’s going to be a long job!
Have a good day everyone and stay safe.

Good Morning everyone from a rather dull Oxfordshire
Shopping (hope the shelves aren't completely empty) and cleaning day today.
Gillybob I hope the wallpapering went well. I loved little GS assembly yesterday. All the children were brilliant doing Jack and the beanstalk and our little chap was a very important harp!
Difficult times for all right now but thinking of GNs with extra worries

kittylester Sat 14-Mar-20 07:25:19

Morning all from a damp North Leicestershire. We had rain in the night that appears to have stopped now. We also had very noisy foxes somewhere in the vicinity.

DD2 and co were due to be here this weekend but have postponed as they have colds so we have a free weekend. The garden calls!

Hoping all with buggerations have a good day.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 14-Mar-20 07:35:23

Goodmorning Mick and all x

Grey and wet here in my corner of S E Essex.

Should be going to my sisters later till tomorrow evening, but I have woken up with a "dodgy chest" and cough I am asthmatic so used to this, but have to be extra cautious at the moment,

Urmstongran I am desperate for some Spanish Sun, and quiet partial to a prawn cocktail and a porn star martini ?

Keep safe folks x

Good morning Mick and all that followed from Suffolk It’s bright and looks dry and windy but not gales
I m off to visit a friend today it’s a bus journey I haven’t taken before not a long one though, I used to cycle but only do shorter distances now about a mile each way is enough especially when I m shopping and the bike gets heavy
We re going to have fish and chips from her local shop
I hope everyone has a peaceful and fruitful day

Ginny42 Sat 14-Mar-20 07:39:27

Good morning Mick and everyone. That made me splutter Sark. How do you be a harp?

It's rained in the night in Cheshire, but the sky is brightening. After recent winds, the trees are perfectly still.

I'm not going out today as I have no need to. A walk in the woods with the neighbours and then I may work on a painting or tidy the garden if it's warm enough. Probably both. The daffodils and the primulas are lovely. I have some lovely yellow tulips in a trough and oh! what's the name of those vivid blue flowers like little corncobs? - well those too. You know the ones I mean? A neighbour has a very pretty early cherry in bloom which I can see from here. Spring is here I think. Hurrah!

Have a lovely day whatever you may get up to. GN will have the tidiest cupboards and gardens! Warm wishes to the poorly and sad. flowers

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Very damp out there but I am taking pooch for a long walk shortly if I can get her out the door, she hates the rain!
Sar so sorry that the match has been cancelled after them saying it was on?
I really really enjoyed the Van Gogh exhibition yesterday and it was almost empty. I did the virtual reality bit but then got sanitizer in my eye after I took the goggles off!!
Gilly I loved Evie’s wallpaper and can’t wait to see a picture of her big girls room❤️
Stay safe everyone and wash those hands?

Good morning from a dry Bristol did not sleep well again and I have been awake since 5am so many thoughts going through my mind when lying awake, its such a strange time for everyone.
I am not doing much today just a visit from my DS DGS1 and DGD.
I hope everyone has a good day with not a lot of worries .

Marydoll Sat 14-Mar-20 07:46:26

Good morning all from a wet and miserable Glasgow, where is all this rain coming from?

Off to the florists later to confirm the orders for the wedding flowers. I will wait until lunchtime, when it will be quiet and less risk of catching anything.
The wedding is Scrabble themed and the initials of the bridal and groom's and the parties will be incorporated in the thistle button holes and wedding flowers.
I spent last night sorting the Scrabble letters initials into bags with the appropriate tartan ribbon for each party.
I got into such a muddle, as there were so many. I was one short and couldn't work out what was wrong. I spent the whole night dreaming about Scrabble.?
I pity the poor florist.

Yesterday's car service was a total fiasco, as predicted.
I put the car in at 8am, DH followed me and we stopped off at Asda. The shelves were bare! This Asda is usually well stocked.
I was looking for bread flour, part of my usual shop, but there was none.
I put a message on the family chat, asking my children to keep their eye out for some. None to be had anywhere. ☹️
My DH read that rice will now be in short supply, as people can't source pasta. You heard it here first! ?

I usually get my car back after a few hours, but after trying to phone the garage four times, with no response and no promised call back, DH and I headed back to the garage at 4pm to find it would be another hour. I was raging, as it meant driving home through two towns in the rush hour and the day had been wasted.?
It used to be a family owned dealership and the service was exceptional, it has gone downhill so much.
I warned the young man at reception that I was going to have a rant, but it wasn't aimed at him, he was getting a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review, the dealership were getting nothing.

Last night I got an email from the garage, with a video of my car's health check attached.?
I had never seen anything like it before. It was a video of my car with no tyres etc, and the technicians checking everything. It quite unnerved me to see my wee car like that

Have a good day, whatever your plans and as usual, my best wishes to all who are suffering.?

Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton. Some gardening was on the programme today but that looks unlikely now. Just waiting for my Saturday paper to be delivered so that I can tackle the crossword.
Had a walk out to the local shops yesterday for some onion rings - I am having steak tonight and simply must have some onion rings with it! Also came home with a butternut squash to make some soup, so that is another job for today. And should be able to finish my book club book.
Hoping all have the best day.

dragonfly46 Sat 14-Mar-20 07:51:09

Good morning, damp here in Leicestershire.

Staying in today which is a treat. I was sent a video of my GD’s assembly yesterday.

Ginny I think you mean grape hyacinths.

Ooh I love Antonio Banderas * Urmston*.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Harris27 Sat 14-Mar-20 07:54:11

God morning all. It’s a cold but dry day in the NE. I am deliberating trying to go to local Aldi todo a mop upshop. Did online one through the week but feel I need to stock up. Off to see the manfreds tonight in South Shields if it is still on! Have. A food day all and keep safe.

Sar53 Sat 14-Mar-20 07:58:40

Good morning everyone from a damp Newport. Well we were on our way from Essex yesterday to come and see Wales v Scotland in the rugby 6 nations. Half an hour away from our hotel, on the Seven Bridge , we hear that the game has been postponed . Very disappointing. There are a lot of Scottish fans staying at this hotel as well.
Nevermind we had a lovely meal last night and are going to spend today in Cardiff, back tomorrow.
We'll just have to do it all again when and if the match is finally played.
Have a pleasant day everyone and stay safe.

Gingster Sat 14-Mar-20 08:03:17

Dull and still breezy on the Suffolk coast. We usually have the runners arrive here on the beach for th Saturday 5 km. run. They arrive for 9 o’clock start. I wonder if it’s still on ?. I’ll keep my eye out for them. DH ‘s footie match is cancelled today. Oh dear I do enjoy a couple of hours peace and quiet. ?. Enjoy your fish and chips Bluebell. They are good here in Suffolk aren’t they! Yes it’s grape hyacinths Ginny. ?

Susan56 Sat 14-Mar-20 08:08:34

Good morning from the Shropshire borders.
Boiler man due at 9 so hopefully we will have a warm house later??
We have decided to postpone our forthcoming holiday.Disappointed but after the last year of health problems and nagging from our children the decision is made.DH bought paint yesterday so will start the decorating instead.
Have a good weekend and stay safe everyone.
Happy birthday to Lins???

Good morning from east London, wet and mild for now. We’re off to Southend today as (hopefully) the old car there is being taken for scrap. Instead of staying indoors and cleaning/clearing etc, we intend to have a walk along the front and pop into one of the cafes there for a late lunch. My one (paid for) working day this year, the mayoral election, is cancelled; just wonder when smaller gatherings will go. Fortunately I don’t do it for the money; just concerned about what will happen to those who are reliant on work to keep them afloat. Hope you have a reasonable day.

harrigran Sat 14-Mar-20 08:24:20

Good morning from an overcast NE.
DH was out when I woke at 7.30, gone to the supermarket. He did this last week and it was quiet at the check outs.
Last week he got all we needed, remains to be seen whether the shelves were as well stocked today.
Look after yourselves.
