Living in a seaside resort now (first summer), I love being able to go down to the Promenade and see the families enjoying the sun, sea and sand. Despite cleverly arranged photos, I have never seen any problems, all well spaced out and getting health Vit D. Being outdoors means they are much safer from any virus than they are in their cities (most are from Birmingham are here).
Just going along the Prom on my mobility scooter gives me the feeling of being on holiday even thought I am not.
I used to love the very hot weather, and would sit in sun for hours. Do try to be more careful these days having had three Basal Carcinomas surgically removed from my face over past few years. Also noted earlier this year, when it was warm, that my skin had sort of reverse freckles as it tanned. Turned out that this is a warning to me that I need to take proper care and use sun-block (something I hve never done previously). My 79 year old skin just cannot take the sun any more.
However, I love the warm sunny weather, definitely my mood is better with that than when it is wet, or cloudy and colder. Do have good fans indoors for really oppressive days and nights. but am happy now looking at a clear blue sky.
I used to feel always cold up to menopause, and my body temperature seemed to change then, and I am rarely very cold.
