Hello Everyone! ?
Lovely new Spring thread!?️?️???

What is your chocolate treat of choice??

FannyCornforth Mon 03-May-21 08:08:26

It was the best wedding I've ever been to. It was absolutely brilliant.

I'm changing my question - what was the best wedding you have been to?

Mollygo Mon 03-May-21 08:11:04

If you don’t count a paper round, my first job was in a newsagents-get up early to sort papers for delivery, then serve in the shop.

How old were you when you learned to drive?

Billybob4491 Mon 03-May-21 08:18:39

17 I passed my driving test first time.

What age do you think people should seriously think about giving up driving?

NotAGran55 Mon 03-May-21 08:30:49

It is in Berkshire Fanny . Message me if you want to know specifically.

DanniRae Mon 03-May-21 09:00:32

My darling dad was at an age when he should have given up driving because he was dangerous shock However fate stepped in and whilst charging the battery in his garage - incorrectly it turned out - the car and the garage caught fire and that was the end of his driving years! (The garage was not attached to the house so mum and dad weren't injured)

If you could turn back time what would you change?

Grany Mon 03-May-21 09:04:56

Nothing you can't change it but you can learn from it.

Will you be voting in the local elections have you changed to a another party.

Mollygo Mon 03-May-21 09:21:49

Yes I’ll be voting but I don’t even share my voting preference with my husband.
3 leaflets through the door
Green Party-will make things greener and work to provide more charging points for the electric car I can’t afford.
Labour -will do a long list of things (including all the things they haven’t done while they’ve been in charge of the council).
Conservatives- will do a long list of things, starting with fixing road surfaces not just topping up potholes.
It’s hard to know really.

Mollygo Mon 03-May-21 09:24:01

Sorry forgot to add a question.

What’s the smallest thing you’ve ever needed to buy online because you couldn’t find it locally?

Kim19 Mon 03-May-21 10:23:09

Books, I suppose.

Do you currently use public transport?

Bellanonna Mon 03-May-21 10:24:37

No

Do you ever wear skirts?

Puzzler61 Mon 03-May-21 10:27:01

Rarely although I have 4 or 5 nice summer ones. All A-line, on the knee.

Have you ever eaten caviar?

Kim19 Mon 03-May-21 10:29:00

Yes. Salty and uninspiring.

How often do you food shop?

henetha Mon 03-May-21 10:34:04

I do click and collect once a fortnight. Just top up locally in between, the odd cauliflower or whatever.

Have you ever played Canasta?

FannyCornforth Mon 03-May-21 10:35:40

No, I don't even really know what it entails

Which advert really gets on your nerves?

DanniRae Mon 03-May-21 13:00:58

henetha - why do you buy odd cauliflowers ....... don't they sell normal ones where you live? Sorry but I couldn't resist it smile

On with the thread........

All the adverts get on my nerves - I record most programmes so I can fast forward them.

What are you most looking forward to in the future?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 03-May-21 13:14:40

I'm most looking forward to life getting back to normal. Going to things like the dentist and being able to get there early and sit in a waiting room with a magazine instead of having to stand outside.

Did you ever believe that 'one must suffer to be beautiful'?

Savvy Mon 03-May-21 13:50:42

Definitely not! Can't stand the plastic look.

What's the most unusual pet you've ever had?

FannyCornforth Mon 03-May-21 13:59:14

Tawny Owls ?

When you were 12, who was/were your favourite pop star/stars?

nanna8 Mon 03-May-21 14:00:41

Painted quails when the kids were young. They were very noisy, though and used to wake us up.

Do you have gas or electric heating ?

nanna8 Mon 03-May-21 14:01:51

Crossed posts. Marty Wilde .

Gas or electric heating ?

EkwaNimitee Mon 03-May-21 15:30:11

Gas but I have a great electric convector radiator as backup for a very chilly evening. Probably not necessary in the new house.

Any odd habits you care to share?

crazyH Mon 03-May-21 15:37:35

Eat at odd times - had an omelette at 2 a.m. this morning ?

Mollygo Mon 03-May-21 18:12:30

Wow! What stamina!
Have you got a question crazyH?

Mollygo Tue 04-May-21 10:06:14

crazyH

Eat at odd times - had an omelette at 2 a.m. this morning ?

Hope you slept better last night.

Has the blossom been blown away in your area?

henetha Tue 04-May-21 10:10:02

I like that DanniRae grin. Well, you know, down here in darkest Devon even cauliflowers are a bit odd.

Yes, blossom is on the ground more than on the tree.

Have you always exercised, joined keep fit classes etc.?
