This has been irritating me for days now,I just don’t get it,I really don’t so could somebody explain it please(it’s a plus net advert)

I have never been able to work that advert out either, every time I see it I get more puzzled. All very strange.

Not seen it,but we always mute the adverts

I very rarely watch live TV and I pay a monthly fee to watch catch-up TV without adverts, which means I hadn’t seen the ad and had to go on YouTube to watch it just so I could comment. As it is I’m already with Plusnet otherwise I’d recommend they give you commission Shinamae. ?

In our family we use the catch phrase from the film Babe in the same way - “that’ll do pig, that’ll do”.

It's just a joke advert, RobertP. Just a joke.

Wagon Wheel used to fill the little front pocket of my satchel.

they are now about the size of a chocolate digestive and have the thinnest chocolate covering imagineable, I think it must be sprayed on!

I remember very many years ago (well, about 60 years ago!) I got a summer holiday job at a large, posh hotel where my aunt worked.
A very quiet, elderly man sat at the same table every day in the dining room, on his own, and my aunt told me he was Mr Weston, who made Weston's Wagon Wheels.
I don't know if he was the original Mr Weston or one of his sons.

Aldi to mini Vienettas on sticks!

S, I'm so p!eased you've highlighted this. I don't feel quite so stupid now as I haven't been able to understand that ad either. By the cook's stance,
I could only assume he had a really pathetic (and failed) boob job done and the other guy was being polite. No fool.like an old fool!

Shinamae Wed 13-Oct-21 20:59:59

I still think it’s absolute rubbish. And one that’s irritating me at the moment is “did you ring dear”……. See if any of you recognise which advert that is from…..?

Amberone Wed 13-Oct-21 20:59:30

The problem with the ad is we're all so busy trying to work out what the ad is for we miss the explanation at the end when the man is trying to sell us PlusNet ? I think I'd seen it about three times before the penny dropped (and until 5 minutes ago I thought he'd had a boob operation!)

grannypiper Wed 13-Oct-21 20:54:55

It is an advert for Plusnet

I remember wagon wheels being ginormous, not the size of the large biscuit they are now ?

CCSS Wed 13-Oct-21 20:36:20

He looks like a Moron. What a stupid advertisement.

MiniMoon we are on Plusnet because it was recommended by several people. No complaints so far.

FarNorth Fri 27-Aug-21 10:22:30

Creme eggs too.

Blossoming Fri 27-Aug-21 10:14:35

Curlywurly used to be enormous! Or maybe I was just a lot smaller grin. You can still get Viennetta, Mr. B loves it but we very rarely buy it.

trisher Fri 27-Aug-21 10:09:36

My DS makes constant complaints about Wagon Wheels and also Club. You no longer Get a lot of chocolate on your Club.

I didn't get that advert at all.

Katek Fri 27-Aug-21 10:06:17

…..and Mars bars…..

GillT57 Fri 27-Aug-21 09:58:18

We usually record programmes on commercial tv so that we can watch it and whizz through the adverts! Viennetta are smaller than they used to be, like wagon wheels.

MiniMoon Fri 27-Aug-21 09:19:38

It made me smile but it wouldn't make me want to switch my broadband supplier. I don't know anyone who is on Plusnet.

FarNorth Fri 27-Aug-21 07:59:23

I can't imagine what that plastic surgery ad might be advertising.
I hope the plastic doesn't melt, close to the barbecue.
