Saw this today www.msn.com/en-gb/lifestyle/travel/paris-opens-its-first-ever-naked-restaurant/ar-AAuqxx6?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartanntp

I'm not convinced I wouldn't lose my appetite surrounded by tables full of naked people.....how about you?

Greyduster Tue 07-Nov-17 08:31:40

Could be a tad uncomfortable if the waiter accidentally tips the gravy in your lap!! grin

NanaandGrampy Tue 07-Nov-17 08:38:12

Or if well endowed you lean forward and fall in the soup???? :-)

lemongrove Tue 07-Nov-17 09:01:20

It would be far too distracting, and yes, put me off eating as well.grin

Auntieflo Tue 07-Nov-17 09:03:19

Well, you couldn't sneak any left overs into your pocket for later now, could you?

Teetime Tue 07-Nov-17 09:05:22

Well we have had The Naked Chef.

ninathenana Tue 07-Nov-17 09:36:47

N&G grin

Bellanonna Tue 07-Nov-17 09:51:51

Would the waiters be naked too?

Cherrytree59 Tue 07-Nov-17 10:02:26

Wouldn't want to be the next diner sitting on the vacated seat.shock

Pass the anti-bacteria wipes please.grin

It’s not the extra flesh that would worry me, it’s the offchance of unwashed, undeodorised bodies, especially at the end of the day, the unhygienic seating unless they’re going to provide replaceable seating pads or rush in and mop the seats after each guest, the thought of how often men check their bits, now doing it without a layer of cloth then resting their hand gently on their dining companion’s hand or the cutlery or the wine bottle which will be picked up by the waiter etc. etc. Good luck to them, but it’s not my idea of good dining.

sarahellenwhitney Tue 07-Nov-17 10:06:25

Yuk, yuk yuk.

Nelliemoser Tue 07-Nov-17 10:10:09

Utter disgust. It's the thought of "naked bits" on seats that alarms me.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 07-Nov-17 10:25:23

I would have thought that the French would have more taste as they are supposedly well known for being chic. This would put me off my dinner.
The restaurant corncerned must be desperate for publicity.
If I understand correctly I believe that nudists carry a towel around with them at all times to sit on.

downtoearth Tue 07-Nov-17 10:28:34

Think of the pain of ripping your bits off a hot plastic seat as you stand up...instant waxing grin

I remember just a few years ago that a certain supermarket chain stipulated a ban on men wandering around their stores in Speedos.

I'm not surprised......

lovebeigecardigans1955 they call themselves naturists, but yes, you are right. etiquette is to put a towel or other covering on the seat. We lived in Vera Playa, Andalucia, for two years and the nearest beach was a naturist one. We did go and I got used to it after the initial slight shock at male bits bouncing around as they walked along the sand smile. You didn't have to strip, but most did. There were a couple of restaurants and cafes along the beach and one held our nearest internet facilities, until we got our own.

We used to go to naturist campsites (in France and Austria) when the children were smaller. But clothing was required in the restaurants, I'm pretty sure. Also in the campsite shop selling food.

Couldn't resist a couple of things for the menu:

Sausage and nut roast
Egg on toest
C hips
Tumato sauce over everything

Belly and ice cream

Expect you can all do better than this

Don't mind nakedness at all... but dinner... no, no no.. I have an image of some sweaty, hairy, dirty bod. Would put me off my food. Yuk.

Caro1954 Tue 07-Nov-17 11:56:15

Yuk, yuk, yuk!

W11girl Tue 07-Nov-17 12:02:35

My nieces' inlaws were naturists...although they would dress when she visited them, she would never sit down on sofa's or chairs that they may have sat on!!

Sar53 Tue 07-Nov-17 12:45:16

This thread has had me laughing out loud. Lots of images going through my head. I don't think it would entice me to eat there !!

annemac101 Tue 07-Nov-17 14:10:34

How would I prevent my boobs from falling into the soup!

MissAdventure Tue 07-Nov-17 14:17:48

I always thought nudist etiquette meant always carrying your own towel with you. I have no idea where I've got that information from!

DanniRae Tue 07-Nov-17 14:24:15

No Thank You! shock
