Is it just me? or does anyone else feel irritated when you tell a friend or relative something, for example, “I nearly missed my flight after getting caught in traffic. It ended up such a rush at the airport & the reply is “What a shame” or if texting similar, getting same reply, what a shame. Thats just an example ?

‘It is what it is.’

Vickixx Thu 06-Dec-18 21:35:20

Yep Tony, that’s another one.

Vickixx Thu 06-Dec-18 21:37:17

Actually dont like ‘yep’ either so ignore that lol

Vickixx Thu 06-Dec-18 21:46:49

They keep coming so might as well get it out there ?
When I’ve thanked someone & their answer is
‘NO PROBLEM’
Think I’ll put that one to the top of my list lol

lemongrove Thu 06-Dec-18 22:06:17

How about lol? grin

Chewbacca Thu 06-Dec-18 22:14:14

"He/she has issues"

No he/she doesn't. He/she has problems.

Another is "It's a big ask". It's doesn't even make sense!

At the end of the day.
Laters.
Yo!
24/7
Have a nice day.

silverlining48 Thu 06-Dec-18 22:20:55

He/she Turned round and said....
Definately LOL, I used to think it was lots of love LOL!

Vickixx Thu 06-Dec-18 22:30:41

All worthy so far of being on the list ? ok no more LOL ?

Another one of the worst is when people write ‘I should OF been there’ instead of ‘I should have been there’ drives me nuts & ive seen uni students write it.

Online, strangers saying "I'm proud of you".

KatyK Thu 06-Dec-18 22:49:05

I've been on a journey

MissAdventure Thu 06-Dec-18 22:50:51

Well, I'm reaching out to tell you I'm proud of you for making that journey. grin

MissAdventure Thu 06-Dec-18 22:53:07

"A big ask" always makes me smirk a bit.
Sounds like a big arse.

Chewbacca Thu 06-Dec-18 23:09:42

Similar sense of humour MissA! grin

MissAdventure Thu 06-Dec-18 23:16:24

Pathetic, you mean?
Life is like a perpetual 'Carry On' film. grin

From the get go

Vickixx Fri 07-Dec-18 00:30:43

Facebook comments on others peoples selfies when they say ‘absolutely stunning’ when often the selfie is hideous!

CocoPops Fri 07-Dec-18 05:04:21

What's not to like?

stella1949 Fri 07-Dec-18 06:37:58

Yeah....No , and No....Yeah. Used at the beginning of a sentence and meaning absolutely nothing.

I'll take that on board - in other words I'll completely ignore what you said.

sodapop Fri 07-Dec-18 06:46:21

Definitely 'at the end of the day' so over used now.

ninathenana Fri 07-Dec-18 07:34:51

"Well I'll be......" ???

an elephant ? a unicorn ?

Billybob4491 Fri 07-Dec-18 07:56:03

Basically
At the end of the day
Thinking outside the box
Singing from the same hymn sheet
Heads up
Snuck (whatever that means)
Basically I think that's it.

MissAdventure Fri 07-Dec-18 08:08:55

I'm not being funny, but I think there may be more..

MrTumble Fri 07-Dec-18 08:25:06

Can I get.
