Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry at the moment here in Brackley, we have had some localised flooding with the River Great Ouse , whose source is to the north of the town , its also effect the Valley between Brackley and Buckingham as well.
A day of shopping etc , if weather remains will not go far today.
Mick

Good Morning Mick and all who follow.
Dark and NOT raining. What a day yesterday, lots of floods.

Shopping day for me and also taking my friends friend.

Yesterday I took in some parcels for the second time for my new neighbours so when they came to collect I asked if they minded me doing that for them. The delivery driver was soaked to the skin💦.

Thinking of you all and hope today will be a good one especially gilly who I see popped in yesterday. 🌻

Good Morning all , I have typed a message several times on my Kindle , but each time I pressed send I was logged out , think it is past it's sell by date . Back to the lap top , now forget what pearls of pearls of wisdom I was going to share.
I set the bread maker last night , as i have family arriving at lunch time , and of course I had to get up to see if it was working ! It smells nice in my Kitchen
Thinking of all the poorly and worried xxxxx

Morning all from a cold but dry North Leicestershire.

Making a curry as Dd2 and her family are coming this evening so they can meet up with her sisters to take the children to the local street fair tomorrow.

Sending love to gilly as always and to anyone else who needs it.

Good morning everyone. It is dry for once in Northampton, so hope to get to Sainsbury's /M&S Food for coffee and my top up shop. I fancy a nice steak for Saturday night!
No cooking tonight as I'm going out for a meal! One of my neighbours has organised a meal out in a country pub for everyone in our little close. Taxis are booked as well, so no driving for anyone. Looking forward to it very much.
Hoping for better news from those with worries.

Morning Mick, morning All, it’s dark, still damp and windy in our corner of Somerset. Localised flooding here too, garden is like a very wet sponge. Friends staying so will be finding somewhere with a roof to go. They had an interesting journey here yesterday, began in fog, then through snow before the torrential rain. Thinking of gilly and her family, hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick, Beechnut Aggie and all those who post , while I write my daily novel. grin
It's a tad chilly here in Glasgow. -1 degree.

I'm off out early to a rheumatology appointment, where I'm sure the consultant will insist on increasing my medication dosage. I have resisted for months, using the side effects of my heart pills as an excuse.
These are the ones that there is a shortage of, so I don't know how that will pan out. 🤔
I'm hoping for a steroid injection in my hand, it's throbbing, but I think I may have had too many already this year. sad
It will be a stressful journey in town in the rush hour , where I will constantly saying to DH, Bus lane, bus lane BUS LANE!!!.
Anyone who has driven in Glasgow, will tell you how difficult they are to avoid.

I had a lovely catch up with my two friends last night, we have known each other since our children were toddlers.
Much to my annoyance, they got me home early, as I had an early start. I could have sat with them for hours.
It used to be me, who organised everyone. grin
We used to wander home at all hours, having put the world to rights.

True to form, I had a little escapade at the shops yesterday.
As I opened my car boot, a heavy Bag for life flew out , blew under a car and wrapped itself between the wheel and the axle.
Three things concerned me: The car was spanking new, it was parked beside a big puddle and if the driver drove away, the bag would become entangled in the axle. 😏
I tried to get down to move it, but it was stuck fast.
As there was no sign of the driver, I had to get down on the ground, push my walking stick under the car and try to dislodge it. Eventually after much huffing and puffing and a good few expletives, 🤬 I managed to dislodge it.
Unfortunately I couldn't get back up again! 😱
It serves me right for not waiting for DH to come with me.

Sending best wishes to all who have worries or are unwell and of course thinking of our dear Gilly and her husband, flowers.

Good morning from a very soggy Black Country.

It didn't stop raining all day yesterday, very heavy too. I went on the train to Birmingham to meet friends in Grand Central for lunch. The train which was on it's way to Stratford on Avon had to terminate at Snow Hill due to flooding on the line. So I had to get off a stop earlier, I was soaked as I ending up going the wrong way and ended up in a circle back to Snow Hill! Found it eventually. There wasn't a dry patch on my gloves!

I am staying put today, as it will be too wet for the Friday morning Health walk. Will make some vegetable soup and do some housework.

Enjoy your evening BlueSapphire our neighbours here are not really sociable.

Love to gilly and everyone else facing challenges

Morning All

I’ll swear it was a clear-ish sky when I looked out at six o’clock but when I just opened the curtains it’s overcast and grey now.

Art class this morning so I’ll be out of DH’s hair (metaphorically speaking!). He’s caught my cold and is suffering so best avoided!

Pantglas2 Fri 15-Nov-19 07:41:53

Glorious blue skies here in Spain this morning but only 3 degrees (I can feel a song coming on.......’When will I see you...)

Off to the gym in a jiffy and get my yoga plank and poses out of the way before running through a few sets and reps of light weights - helps me lift the hand luggage into the locker without simpering coyly at the nearest gorgeous young man!

Hope you all have a good day with special good news for the worried and unwell x

Good morning from a dry and windy S Welsh coast.
Quite a bit of snow yesterday to the north of us, fortunately we usually avoid it here on the coast.
DH has his flu jab today. My friend from Book Club is coming round this afternoon, so we will set the world to rights.
Hope all have a good day.

Good Morning from a damp Fife, not nice at all since we've had the sun and frost the last few days. Well we are in for a very busy weekend, schools off today for 'inset' day so picking up 2 x DGS's at lunchtime and have them until Sunday afternoon. DD and SIL are off to a wedding down south and children haven't been invited sad. No matter hopefully we are all in for a real treat. Strictly will have to get recorded sad as that's the busy bath/bed time. No matter fun all around I hope. Thinking of gilly and anyone who also have worries just now. Have a good Friday.

Good morning, thank goodness it’s dry in Leicestershire. We were driving through huge puddles coming back from the hospital yesterday.

A better day for going to the fair kitty.

Mary it could only happen to you!
Good luck at the hospital.

The oncologist was pleased with me yesterday so chemo going ahead today. Was out with a few friends last night, NWR National quiz, and they were complimenting me on my hair. They couldn’t believe it was a wig! My DD who wants to come today had her train cancelled from London but managed to arrive on another just before midnight.

It just rained here, dragonfly but think it's stopped again!

Alygran Fri 15-Nov-19 08:09:10

Good morning. Looks like we had lot of rain overnight in North Yorkshire. So pleased I got the bulk of the gardening done on Wednesday.
Off volunteering this morning then catching up with a friend this afternoon before she goes back to Spain. Jazz Club tonight.
Thank you for my early morning giggle Marydoll
Thinking of all those with challenges to face today.
Have a good day everyone

fizzers Fri 15-Nov-19 08:15:39

Good morning from a grey and wet West Yorks, we also had a lot of rain overnight, it was so bad it kept me awake for a long time.

No plans for today, so maybe binge watch some Netflix.

Good luck to all those with plans for today

Good morning from another frosty start here in Glasgow.

First off, I missed your post yesterday gilly so thank you for taking the time to let us know how things are. We are all here to support you because we want to so please don’t ever feel you can’t as we are here for you just as you would be for any of us. I’m sorry there is no positive news for you yet. Stay strong and take care 🌻

Still a bit chaotic here as decorators continue but as I keep telling myself, all this disruption will be worth it🤯

Marydoll.......You should not be allowed out without a minder, blooming liability to other innocents😂😂. Sorry your hand is so bad and hoping you will be allowed another injection, they do work miracles 🤞

Hope everyone has a pleasant day and strength to those who are having to struggle, what ever it may be.

harrigran Fri 15-Nov-19 08:37:47

Good morning from a grey damp NE.
Quieter day for us as we are not doing any school runs or house sitting, DS is doing a full day at home and then bringing GD to stay for the weekend.
Thoughts, as always, are with gilly and her DH.

Greyduster Fri 15-Nov-19 08:38:20

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is damp and cold and very grey in South Yorkshire. Yesterday’s torrential rain has stopped for the moment. I am supposed to be going into town today but I don’t feel like it at all, so we’ll see. The only by product of our trip out yesterday was a parking ticket! DH says he isn’t going to pay it🙄! Thinking of Gilly and Mr Gilly this morning, and everyone who is struggling.

Susan56 Fri 15-Nov-19 08:39:39

Good morning from Shropshire. Its stopped raining🎉
We are off to the hospital this morning for my husband to have stitches removed and wound check. He is hoping for a much smaller dressing so he can start doing his rehabilitation exercises. Then into town as there will be no time to go home before taking DGD to school this afternoon so lunch out today.
Mary, you do get into some scrapes🤣I hope you get your steroid injection, they make such a difference.
Dragonfly glad your appointment went well.
Wishing everyone a good day and sending love to gilly.x

Good morning everyone from a grey and damp Essex by the sea. The gardener for our block of flats arrived at 7.40 this morning, I think he's trying to get everything done before it rains.
Yesterday evening my DH's daughter asked him if we could go and look after their three children, a 5 year old and 2 1/2 year old twins whilst they went to the eldest's parents evening. They had been let down by a friend. Oh my goodness the screams from the twins as they left. We ended up cuddling one each, the little boy settled on my lap fairly quickly but the little girl sat on DH's lap and cried for about 20 minutes. You would think we were total strangers !! When their dad walked in about half an hour later they both started crying again.
I'm off to do some shopping once I am dressed, then some admin needs sorting.
My thoughts as always with Gillybobs and her DH.
Have a good day everyone.

Auntieflo Fri 15-Nov-19 08:47:04

Good morning Michael, Annie and all .
It has been raining here and is grey and dreary, unfortunately, as we have a funeral to attend this afternoon.
Yesterday the weather was beautiful, (Murpy's law)

Our friend had arranged her funeral, (with changes, several times), ages ago, so I hope all goes as planned. She was a character, a one off, and we miss her and her comments on all and sundry.
Anyway, the car will be up to her standard, as DH gave it a thorough clean yesterday.

Special Friday best wishes to the Gillybobs and hopes that they have a peaceful weekend.
Have a good day one and all.
