Three moody blues cd’s.
Tony Blackburn played a track on Saturday and it bought back memories of our ‘courting days’ At one time we owned all their L.P’s. If I don’t cheer up soon I may just buy Neil Diamond.
Anyone else bought something they don’t need to cheer themselves up.

My DH was a Moody Blues fan so that brings back our courting days too and our married life?
I’ve been listening all day to his iPod music.

No I haven’t bought anything.

I used to love the Moody Blues. Good choice.

MissAdventure Wed 27-May-20 18:00:37

Music is never something you don't need. flowers
It's such a small expense for hours and hours of happy memories.

I went to school with Justin Hayward. I must dig out my old school photo.. He was good looking even then .....perhaps I will buy one of their CD's too.

Grammaretto Wed 27-May-20 18:17:39

Good for you! I hope you are cheered up.
I have been doing loads of retail therapy.
A dress arrived yesterday and I couldn't believe I chose it (I didn't, they sent the wrong one)
At least it wasn't a house... I believe rightmove is busier than ever.

Oopsminty Wed 27-May-20 18:25:48

Ooh, Greenfinch!

How exciting. I had a bit of a crush on Justin

I spent many years thinking that the 'nights' in white satin were knights.

Shrugging off their armour for
more comfortable attire!

Tweedle24 Wed 27-May-20 18:27:14

I would buy Neil Diamond too, if I could afford him!

Aldom Wed 27-May-20 18:51:03

I sent for several summer dresses from Marks and Spencer, expecting perhaps to find one that is suitable. I'm delighted with them all. Lovely styling, all a good fit. So keeping them all. Well done to Marks and Spencer.

Good for you, treating yourself. smile

I sent my two dd’s a gift each from a goody box company as a surprise. The youngest dd received hers and thought she’d been ordering things in her sleep! grin

MadCatWoman1 Wed 27-May-20 21:03:44

I'm always treating myself (after treating the GC, the cat, the sons, etc). This week - 2 bras, a Joe Brown's dress, some Revlon foundation (the best make-up I've ever had)and some nice hair conditioner.

BlueSky Wed 27-May-20 21:25:34

So can clothes ordered on line be returned? Will they be sanitised? Can clothes be tried on at all when shops reopen?

Yiayia4 Wed 27-May-20 21:26:03

My claim to fame I washed Justin Hayward’s hair!

Aldom Wed 27-May-20 21:30:33

BlueSky, yes clothes are returnable, same as before C19

BlueSapphire Wed 27-May-20 21:53:07

Oh, the Moody Blues! remember the coach on the way to teaching practice, Radio Caroline and all of us students singing along.

MissAdventure Wed 27-May-20 22:05:19

Nights in white satin is a real croon along song.. I love it. smile

BlueSky Wed 27-May-20 22:16:19

Thanks Aldom hopefully they will sanitise them?
Yes MissAdventure they don't make them like that anymore!

MissAdventure Wed 27-May-20 22:36:01

smile
Oh, they don't, that's true.

paddyanne Wed 27-May-20 23:12:22

I've been buying music too ,the latest Keb Mo album ,we saw him at Celtic Connections at the start of the year and he was brilliant .also bought a couple of African artists ,one that I have already on an Eric Bibb album .I guess I wont be getting rid of my CD collection anytime soon

gillybob Wed 27-May-20 23:16:23

Aaah jeez paddyanne I really do share your taste in music . smile

Bluesky I think when shops are open and receive returned goods, they are going to leave them for 72 hours before putting them back on the shop floor. Not sure what companies with online returns are doing, but for the safety of their employees (and customers) would presume they do the same.

NfkDumpling Thu 28-May-20 07:26:39

I bought a couple of tops and a tunic which are hanging in the wardrobe with their labels intact. I’m hopeful of going somewhere I can wear them before the summer’s out.

NfkDumpling Thu 28-May-20 07:27:03

(I’m hopeful they’ll still fit)

kittylester Thu 28-May-20 07:37:41

One of my claims to fame is that I reviewed Nights in White Satin on Radio Leicester!

Gingster Thu 28-May-20 07:41:46

I thought the same as you oops. Knights in white satin (armour) ?‍♀️
