Hi! Evening All! Time flies; I feel like I’ve only just finished off the Sat’Day message! Weather hasn’t changed much at all! Still cold, wet and miserable, but that’s Winter, I guess!
Ellan; You’ve missed the point; my fault! Not the human muggers, although I guess you have enough of those, but seagulls! The cartoon appeared at the time fish and chips were under discussion here and a gentleman who had been beaten up was being asked to inspect a line-up of 10 seagulls each with a hot chip in its beak! Knowing how you loved seagulls and your proximity to the Mersey, hence “Mersey Muggers!”
Can’t stay away from Victoria! I live here so would cop a hefty fine!, if I tried.
Feel sorry for all those people locked down in 9 multi-storey tower blocks, all 3,000 of them, not to mention the 500 police manning each supervising shift.
The City v Liverpool game was excellent, especially as we won, and the sound-effects of spectator “noise’were amazingly lifelike!. Nice to see City in their natural light- blue strip again!
Expecting a phone call from granddaughter in Bideford; It would have been my young sister’s 87th. birthday to-day! We’ve had one brief power outage this evening so fingers crossed! All the communications go “out” too; phone, computer, internet, TV, then it’s all down to the mobile!
Having established Shazam on my recently purchased smartphone, I now find there’s a similar type App. for identifying flowers/shrubs etc.. Anyone used this ? It will help me no-end! My dear Vera was the brains in these things, I was simply the labourer, carting/digging etc and I’m still trying to find out what we’ve got!
Grandmabatty; you startled me there! , having a “blether” seemed like having a verbal ding-dong! After we’ve just confirmed you’re a friendly “Barbarian”! An Anglo/ Scot phrasebook will obviously be necessary before long.
Just a thought; is that the same as “blather”?
I’m sure you’ll all be pleased for me to know I’ve finally secured another podiatrist appointment this week! The first was cancelled because she couldn’t do a home visit because of the bush fire smoke; next time she wasn’t well, next time I had BPPV, but this time may be OK! She always wears a mask when she operates the nail-grinder,
so Covid won’t be a prob.! It will feel good to be a “Twinkle Toes” again!
Good Health
