My daughters Asda in Brighton has no toilet rolls left. Shelves steipped bare. Sounds like panic buying. Has anyone else experienced this?

We have the same nonsense in Scotland. You’d think people would have learned from last time. There was always plenty to go round.

I’ve only been in M&S and Home Bargains this week but they seemed to have normal stock. Or Christmas-themed loo roll, if you’re in M&S!

I am using the rolls I got during the Brexit panic !

I posted this on our village Facebook page:

Panic Buying CREATES Shortages! Please don't do it!

It's not even panic buying though.
It's being bloody greedy, and grasping, and looking after number 1, above and beyond anyone else.

BlueSky Sat 26-Sep-20 20:05:21

Still plenty well displayed in prominent places, but soon to change I guess as soon as they read that people are stocking up and loo rolls again! As said before supermarkets must step in now.

BlueBelle Sat 26-Sep-20 20:05:57

Thankfully Morrison’s and I think Tesco are limiting them I haven’t looked yet got half a dozen left if they run out I ll just have to buy the Daily fail and do what we did when I was a kid

MissAdventure Sat 26-Sep-20 20:08:47

Our local shop has ominously empty shelves.

Where toilet rolls are concerned, I think its about looking after number 2s as well, MissAdventure.

Sorry, I couldn't resist grin

Supermarkets here are rationing T rolls and flour already, don’t panic, don’t panic.

Marydoll Sat 26-Sep-20 20:14:54

I had ordered bread flour from Tesco for yesterday's delivery, none available! ?

Sunny82z Sat 26-Sep-20 20:48:08

Oh please not again. Whatever happened to good old British common sense? I did buy one extra bag of self raising flour as we are approaching the dumpling and suet crust season which, I hope is acceptable, didn't think one extra bag would contribute towards a shortage!

Summerlove Sat 26-Sep-20 20:49:30

Common sense is a fallacy.

Luckygirl Sat 26-Sep-20 20:50:15

My Asda click and collect order has the info that toilet rolls are rationed for each customer. Here we go again!

Summerlove Sat 26-Sep-20 20:55:12

At least they are limiting early this time LuckyGirl

suziewoozie Sat 26-Sep-20 20:57:22

Summerlove

Common sense is a fallacy.

A myth propagated by a belief in the myth of English exceptionalism

Summerlove Sat 26-Sep-20 21:05:05

Exactly suzie

annep1 Sat 26-Sep-20 21:11:25

Its very depressing. I've no intention of joining in. I hope shops all ration quickly.

Hellogirl1 Sat 26-Sep-20 23:16:17

I had my Tesco delivery n Thursday night, everything I ordered, including toilet rolls. Oh, sorry, didn`t get my tub of buttery spread.
