cornergran Sun 17-Jan-21 18:35:16

Hello new kitchen. Many h and soop. Just eaten far too much to be tempted by food but a glass of chilled dry white would go down very well. TOYA.

Jaxjacky Sun 17-Jan-21 18:42:50

Black Russian please, cheers! I’ve bought twiglets and cheese straws..enjoy.

Urmstongran Sun 17-Jan-21 18:50:12

‘Evening All’ (you’re forgiven kitty)
😂

Well, well, this is snug. Lovely to spend time with pals. Can someone budge up please? I’m a bit wider than I was.

A porn star martini for me please soop and no snickering along that back if you dont mind.

Actually a couple of years ago these were going to be renamed as ‘passion fruit cocktail’ but I’m happy to say the idea never caught on. I like norty names for decadent cocktails!

Hope everyone finds this lovely new kitchen to their liking. soop you’ve done a grand job. The extra sofa will be needed I think!

Sip those alcoholic drinks ladies - some have a quiet kick in them which is why they’re so enjoyable I suppose. x

‘Goodnight All’.

It’s very nice in here, and so many kitcheners chatting and enjoying cocktails. Cheers soop !
Thank you, a Bellini - I don’t mind if I do. 🥂
The buffet is extremely inviting too.
Cheers everyone!

Ooh, I've found you all. I wouldn't mind a Long Island Ice Tea. Easy on the tea!!

Susan56 Sun 17-Jan-21 19:14:08

Yiayia, I am adding tzatziki to my next supermarket order, yum!

Nannytopsy Sun 17-Jan-21 19:42:43

Love good tzatziki! Thank you Yiayia.

Grandmabatty Sun 17-Jan-21 20:09:54

Love anything Greek! I'll have some tsatsiki too. I'm fond of porn star martinis Grandmafrench shall we down a few?

grannysyb Sun 17-Jan-21 20:16:39

I love a porn star martini, my stepdaughter looked askance at me when I said I enjoyed them! I have some steamed blackberry sponge to go on the side. Soop, I think the time has come for you to contact the Sunday papers about the dreadful treatment you are receiving from BT, it's outrageous.

Grandmafrench Sun 17-Jan-21 20:32:10

I'll happily join you for a cocktail or 3, GrandmaB.....but I'll stick to my Piña Colada, thanks. I've even located my little cocktail shaker. How decadent we are - well, we were before I fell victim to the steamed blackberry sponge !!!!!! How wonderful. Cheers and Santé everyone. No one should be denied a 🍹good night's sleep tonight.

Lins1066 Sun 17-Jan-21 21:49:24

I`m rejoining the fold after a few days absence, a white port with very cold lemonade would be lovely right now, thank you.
Soop. as was suggested above, it`s about time to let the world know how BT are treating you. Almost 6 weeks now, I hope you`re getting a rebate on your broadband payments?
My new settee was finally delivered, amidst much swearing, on Thursday morning, and rebuilt yesterday at a cost of £200. I was finally allowed to sit on it today, it`s only just over 4 months since I ordered and paid for it. I`m afraid I broke the rules today, as some of my family (2 in bubble, 2 not) came to demolish and remove my old settee, and bring my wall unit/display cabinet back in from the garage, then reconstruct it. I couldn`t have done it on my own.

Grandmabatty Mon 18-Jan-21 13:22:55

Hellogirl Hurrah! Thank goodness you have something comfortable to sit or lounge on. Good afternoon kitcheners. I'm taking the opportunity to say hello while dgs naps. An hour and a half so far, so good. Curses. I hear him calling. Knew I'd curse it. Bye

soop Mon 18-Jan-21 13:25:10

There is a no finer, more uplifting tonic than joining you lot. You are amazing. grin

Hellogirl1 Your new sofa is in situ. Cheers! We all need to see a photo of you reclining on it, wearing a beaming smile.

I've received a very helpful message from one of our kitcheners (regarding the faff awful goings on with BT), Mr Soop is prepared to take matters further after lunch.

grannysyb Steamed blackberry sponge with lashings of creamy custard? Talk about decadent...bring it on and let's forget about trying to be righteous. Please form a disorderly queue. First come - first served.

The cocktail bar has been extra busy. A free for all, I would say. It appears that I shall need to ask for an extra delivery of the norty stuff. Us lot know how to party. shock grin

Hello Hello all. Hope everyone is quite cheery today.....I've just come in from sitting in the garden. Enforced idleness, having turned quite gently on one foot and reduced myself to tears due to such incredible pain. Old ankle injury decided to floor me ...... it felt like it was broken. 2 hours later and lots of ice and me snivelling, it is strapped up and I am mobile again (well I was sitting down in the sunshine in the garden). What is life without one's feet working properly? Answer: absabluddy impossible!

Hope you have some proper help and ideas to pursue the BT Bastidly Scammers, soop. I have to say your call to arms over the steamed blackberry sponge was a trifle unladylike for you. (Although if dear Doodle heard that, she'd probably have a smart comment at the ready - let nobody mention the Argy!) I could almost picture you with your elbows out, repelling anyone from reaching the pud first!!! 🤣 An 'every woman for herself' moment? Tiny bit naughty, but shows you haven't been wasting your time; all those exercises, leapfrogging, cartwheeling etc., whilst Mr Soop patiently deals with the phone problem, have paid off. You are fit for anything again. All you need to do is persuade/bribe Grannysyb to keep sending in the pud!! We'll fight you for it.

Soooooo relieved about that sofa, Hellogirl. Almost as much as you are, I would guess. Hope it gives years and years of sitting down pleasure. Have a lovely afternoon peeps, you all deserve it. x (And always remember to Stay Safe, please.)

Grandmabatty Mon 18-Jan-21 17:03:58

Grandmafrench I send healing thoughts and sympathies. I have s weak ligament in my ankle and sometimes it just goes. Very painful. Ice and painkillers and rest for you. I've dropped dgs back at home and as m having a rest before peeling potatoes. The steak and sausages casserole smells wonderful. We had a walk this afternoon. Puddle splashing and gazing into drains. Today he learned more words at grandma daycare. Have a good evening all.
