Good Evening; 8C at10.00pm! Colder tomorrow with rain and thunder! We must have done something wrong, with every day being described as the coldest so far this year
Even Brisbane is cooler according to our Neil, especially when TV News showed cheering “crowds” celebrating Brisbane’s successful Olympics 2032 bid; he reckoned the media had herded the sparse turn-out to get favourable camera shots.

Of course he could have been joking!
11 years to go! What wil Covid be like by then!?

A quick stocktake of the drinks cache shows it to consist of Tawny Rum with one notable exception, an unopened bottle of “Singleton” single malt Scotch whisky!
There’s a coincidence! Insurance reps passed such gifts around in the good old days
Covid situation in NSW is getting dire, “out of hand” and VIC Premier Dan suggesting they create a “Ring of Steel” around Sydney, like he did in Melbourne last year
I detect levels of irritation appearing between State Premiers, their Chief Health Officers etc and the barrage of reporters attending each daily press conference!

On-line shopping app. almost set up with Woolies. Surprisingly, on-line prices are as they were pre-Covid

Chish and Fips shop still allowed to open, despite lockdown
,so some normality remains!
Home-visit nurses also still on the go! You have to admire them , working on through this pandemic and this weather
Pity they are not allowed to have a cup of coffee on arrival; all I can do is make sure the C/H is turned up and have some nice, jazzy music in the background
Oh dear Time for bed! hmm
Good Health wine wine wine

Evening Rufus Hope you had chish and fips and enjoyed it. The weather in Greater London seemed cooler today and so much better.
Sleep well.

Hi Rufus2. Marginally cooler here and Covid numbers seem to be dipping a bit. Covid test at the hospital tomorrow am then isolation until going in on Tuesday for the op. Hence last shopping to stock up today. Also last drinks in the garden with the neighbours. All very sociable and already making plans for lunches out together when it's too cold to socialise in the garden. Lovely.
Am swerving the Olympics like I swerved the tennis and footballing competition thingys.
Stay cosy

Hi Rufus, cooler here down south too, not 8c though, expecting rain overnight, storms tomorrow. Thank goodness for the c and f shop, life’s not too bad with some grub, hope it’s really good.
My DD borrowed my car today (now got 1,224 on the clock since September) she said it used a lot of fuel, I did explain about having air con on all day and fuel usage…
Anyway, if your nurses aren’t allowed coffee, suppose a wee snifter from your cupboard is out of the question, even for medical purposes.
Take care ?

Glad you're looking after the nurses Rufus. Same weather expected in my neck of the woods mid Cornwall tomorrow except the temp is dropping to a dizzy 19° .

It was ham, chips and green beans here tonight. Home grown beans too.

Evening Rufus
Best to stay warm under your doona!

She's not popular, so I hear.
I think more than a few Queenslanders are not happy with Anastacia swanning off to Japan when so many are unable to get permission to enter or leave for family reasons, eg funerals etc.

It might get a bit cooler here tomorrow with thunderstorms but probably none as spectacular as yours.⛈
