I’m going to Canada late august/September for family wedding & holiday. Anyone been from UK, to the same - Canada. It’s Calgary, Alberta side of ??. Wondering what type of clothing to take, although I realise it is also there summer but I sort of feel that it could still be colder temperatures than UK. I’m guessing taking some summer bits as well as some thicker items?? And a winter coat? Any ideas?

We’ve been to Canada several times, usually in the summer. The weather is as unpredictable as the UK. I’d take layers, a good wind and waterproof jacket and a lightweight fleece. Also, swimwear and shorts, if you wear them. I always take a Pashmina wrap with me when travelling it’s so versatile.
If you intend to sightsee across the Rockies and Glacier fields it can be cold as you get higher into the National Park.
Have a great time, Canada is my favourite country.

Went to Canada early September 2019 . Calgary was warm but in the evening I needed a warm cardigan.
I drove over Rogers pass on the 15 th September just before a snowfall .
Enjoy , Canada is beautiful
