What are those habits or behaviours that you can't get rid of for your own good?

I'll start

My toxic trait: I wonder if that food that always gives me a bad stomach will give me a bad stomach today?

I know I’ll hate myself in the morning but that extra chocolate is just soo moorish,

VioletSky Fri 12-Aug-22 14:23:12

I'm going to put this thing in a safe place and I definitely won't forget I put it there.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 12-Aug-22 15:12:03

Oh VS that is me I put things away for Christmas and Birthdays and find them after the event.

This year I hunted high and low for the puzzle saver mat found it when I was looking for something else ????

Baggs Fri 12-Aug-22 15:19:36

Me too, VS. Even chocolate!

AGAA4 Fri 12-Aug-22 15:53:20

I wish I could stop eating sugary foods. I will eat a healthy salad and spoil it with cake or chocolate afterwards.

Elizabeth27 Fri 12-Aug-22 15:56:12

I am going to eat all the family pack of M&Ms anyway so I may as well eat them all at once.

I have traits. But none are toxic.
I’m not a crack addict or an abuser of animals for example.
To label perfectly normal behaviours as toxic isn’t helpful to anyone.
Eating disorders thrive on this sort of nonsense

VioletSky Fri 12-Aug-22 16:05:56

I will just watch one more episode of this show I like and I definitely won't be tired tomorrow

MerylStreep Fri 12-Aug-22 16:13:43

I have a few habits but I don’t think any of them are harmful or poisonous = toxic.

VioletSky Fri 12-Aug-22 16:15:39

Ooh I have another one

I definitely only have 1 thing planned next week and it definitely isn't Wednesday so I definitely won't double book myself and cause problems

It's just for fun

Example

Gosh there is a lot of arguing on gransnet lately but I can definitely start a silly thread and it definitely won't cause me or anyone else any upset

Kate1949 Fri 12-Aug-22 16:23:31

I won't have an extra glass of wine but usually do.
I will go for a walk today but usually don't.

FannyCornforth Fri 12-Aug-22 16:28:19

But it’s not ‘fun’
Women doing totally innocent things like eating cake is not toxic

V3ra Fri 12-Aug-22 16:29:17

Kate1949 I can so relate to that ?
?✔️ ?‍♀️❌

V3ra Fri 12-Aug-22 16:30:39

It is to me as a diabetic...trouble is, all things like cake, chocolate, ice-cream are alway so moreish.

I am going to eat all the family pack of M&Ms anyway so I may as well eat them all at once.

Elizabeth27 , yes I do the same with a note to self that I'll start being sensible tomorrow. However, tomorrow never comes. grin

VioletSky Fri 12-Aug-22 16:38:21

Wine > going for a walk

Well, as long is the wine is actually rum for me

GrannyGravy13 Fri 12-Aug-22 16:38:42

Kate1949, V3ra I often see ideas for using up left over wine I was unaware there was such a thing ?????

Kate1949 Fri 12-Aug-22 16:39:44

Bellanonna Fri 12-Aug-22 16:54:33

Ah, Kate, well I usually do the walk ?

Kate1949 Fri 12-Aug-22 16:57:50

Well I do most days Bella but it's an effort. I don't walk in this heat though!
