I have an iPhone 6 and have successfully downloaded the app.
You probably need to load the latest software update.

I read a while back about some sort of tracking app. which has already been installed on our phones.

I believe it’s accessible under ‘settings’

I presume this new one is different?

Just downloaded it as it will be easier for the person running our upholstery class. I know one of us will be grumpy about it, but I think it's worth doing.

You download it from Apple or Google Play. I tried to do mine yesterday but it wouldn’t. It will now.
As of today by law bars, restaurants and sports clubs have to register for NHS QR, download a QR poster and display it on their premises for people to hold their smart phones against and be recorded as part of test and trace. For those who don’t contact details have to be taken manually and kept for 21 days

Ive done it too. It tells you whether your area is high medium or low risk. Mine is medium.
