RIP Caroline Aherne

Just seen it on breaking news. So sad.

I'm shocked I hadn't read that she was ill. RIP.

So sorry to hear of her death, such a troubled life and then to die so young

I shall never forget, as Mrs. Merton, asking Debbie Daniels, "What attracted you to millionaire Paul Daniels.

Oh no! beamme that's exactly how I remember her too.

I had no idea that she has been ill for a while

How very sad so young and so talented

Poor lady I read that she has had several different cancers over several years how sad.

I loved her too, in all her roles. A very talented lady, at least she's at peace now...

Sad news, again

Tragically young to die. So very sad. We've lost too many good'uns this year, haven't we?

Oh no, how sad. How many more of our lovely, popular celebrities will we lose the end of the year? ?

As everyone else, such a talented lady and such a troubled life.

Such a shock!!! RIP Caroline

Perhaps because I feel I am living on borrowed time I am unable to watch Victoria Wood as I feel she died so young and now I feel just the same about Caroline Aherne.
Talent is such a wonderful gift and to see it wiped out depresses me so much. RIP to them both,

She was so talented. What a shock - I assume she kept things quiet.

I'm reminded of Linda Smith, another really funny and talented girl who died young.

I had no idea she was ill - so very, very sad. Such a turbulent personal life, with so many struggles. RIP Caroline.

Saw the clip where she said her Mum told her only special people get cancer and as she now had it in her bladder and lungs, she must be very special. To Caroline and to all the 'special' people. RIP to a great comedy talent.

Another brilliant star extinguished this year. So sad.
