It's OK Gransnet is a huge room so can fit a herd in here.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 05-Jan-22 18:23:02

Elephant in the room is that the title of your book?

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 18:25:06

You will need to sit down with a brandy hahaha, no, its not THAT bad but its lengthy to round it all up into a simple explanation ...

I will try ....

So for the best part of 30 years i havent broached a certain subject within the marriage, i won't say i havent dare raise the subject, i will just say that i knew if i did raise the subject then it would raise the roof ( by me, so i was trying my level best to keep that elephant behind a strong locked door)

Then after keeping the elephant tamed for best part if 30 years, IT ESCAPED 2 DAYS AGO......

Ok,ok so it was ME who unlocked its door but whoaaaa I had done so well keeping it under lock n key......

Hahahaha VANECAM ( DRUM ROLL)

I was starting a thread entitled Elephant in the room referring to things that were never discussed but which infuriated people and what made me start this thread was because as i said, i had kept quiet about a certain something within my marriage that infuriated me niggled me, irritated me, whichever label you want to give such situations, for the best part of 30years and then whoaaaa it all came out.

The elephant in the room is a common expression!!

MayBeMaw Wed 05-Jan-22 19:02:21

Oh, is that all?
From the build up I was expecting something interesting shock yawn

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:05:37

SueBdoo70
Well done to you, my very own Elephant in the room was all to do with finance, clever you.
Allllll came tumbling out ( my sheer annoyance)

Way too lengthy to start tapping it out on my phone, just wondered if others had elephants in their rooms.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:05:46

We know all about your finances already thanks. Been there, wasted time on it.

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:11:16

MayBeMaw

Sorry......
It was just a roundabout way of asking had others experienced an elephant in the room ......

MissAdventure Wed 05-Jan-22 19:11:18

Why are you all being unpleasant?
