Well, we have two peach trees in pots. Last year they bore fruit, but were affected by leaf curl.
This year they were really badly affected by leaf curl, only managed a few flowers each and have not produced any fruit.
DH is giving them another year to see what happens, and if he can remedy the leaf curl.

It's not much help, sorry.

They need taking in under cover if you possibly can, about late December Then put out in about May That should prevent leaf curl. Or if you can’t take them in cover with plastic sheeting to stop the rain splash.

Have a look at the RHS site, very helpful?

They come in to the conservatory in the winter Wwmk2. We keep it frost free, as we have other tender pot plants that over winter there too.

Read up about cultivation on a specialist grower’s website. E.g Chris Bowers. Lots of information there.

I have a James Grieve apple in a pot, has been there for years. Sometimes get 20 apples but only 3 this year and one is tiny. When my GS was small he had the one huge fruit that year and ate the lot. They can be a bit tart but he was thrilled with the idea of PYO!
