I’m wondering what the average hourly rate for gardeners is these days . I’m sure prices vary , and also perhaps depend on location. I live in Devon .

I’m RHS qualified. I charge £15 per hour. My husband works with me to do the heavy stuff and that’s £15 an hour too

I was paying £15 earlier this year. Do check that the person has insurance, a friend's gardener was strimming and a stone hit and smashed her patio door - unfortunately he wasn't insured.

I am in the south west and also pay £15 per hour.

Thank you all. That’s very helpful

Where I live it's £17-£25 an hour
I used to pay mine £15 an hour but he retired so now my husband does it (I love gardens but HATE gardening) but it seems to keep him happy.

Shandy that has happened to me x2- for various reasons my rear garden is now block paved so that sorts out that problem.

I pay £15 and that is for a large expanse of grass to be cut.

Hi I charge £15 per hour. Most of my clients are 2 hours per fortnight

I wish we could get a one. I would pay £15-20 per hour.

My neighbour pays £20 an hour and when I asked her gardener if he would add me to his clientele he said he was too busy so obviously people are prepared to pay it.
I am currently looking for someone.

I live in the southwest and pay £15 an hour for a gardener.
Grass cutting /weeding etc What I call basics.
Pruning of trees and cutting back hedges involve higher charges.
