Fed up of all the doom and gloom, I’ve picked myself a bunch of flowers from the garden - between phase 1 and phase 2 of the summer, so my last rose of the main season, and my first dahlias. Cheer us all up and show us your pickings today!

Oh I can’t bare to pick my flowers , if they get blown over or something I stick them in water ! But not pick them on purpose !

Lovely flowers Casdon. Have picked a film for tonight and picked this thread to answer but nothing else yet.
Hope we don’t get a picture of the contents of anyones nose.

Gorgeous ? If I had lots of flowers growing I would pick a bunch like yours Casdon Got rid of all my vases when I moved to a flat. (no proper garden)? just a lot of cars parked and some scruffy grassed areas with dry looking shrubs - but….plan to “work” on that eventually.
When I’ve slapped the paint on then the houseplant collecting will begin again along with the vases! Happy days

A beautiful 'picking'. You have inspired me to go into my garden to see what I can find. Back soon, hopefully with a vase of garden flowers. smile

I'm looking after my neighbour's garden while he's away. He told me to pick all the sweet peas and runner beans.

Shinamae Thu 28-Jul-22 11:05:12

Beautiful flowers and lovely green grass mine is completely brown!

Grandmabatty Thu 28-Jul-22 11:09:32

I can't actually post my picking as I picked peas and they were all eaten straight from the pod by my grandson!

LauraNorderr Thu 28-Jul-22 11:19:24

You’re absolutely right Shirley48, I didn’t pick up on that. I found it on the Active list. My apologies Casdon. Lovely flowers nevertheless. I’ll have a wander around my garden and may return later with a photo.

Here's my offering.

Shirley48 Thu 28-Jul-22 12:46:38

A few clippings from my garden….

Hiraeth Thu 28-Jul-22 12:52:06

Beautiful flowers and beautifully arranged. I love a vase full of flowers especially if they’re from my own garden

Lovely pics!

I don’t pick the flowers but this lot came from the allotment

merlotgran Thu 28-Jul-22 12:59:33

Only a small bunch because I want to take a larger one to DD’s tomorrow.

sf101 Thu 28-Jul-22 13:00:11

I leave mine in the garden.

I was lucky enough to bag some lilly bulbs at the end of the season sale.
This is how they turned out.
I have quite a few cream ones in bud at the mo, so looking forward to them, as the garden is mostly summer bedding now. With the exception of sweet peas and tall daisy flowers (luc-something, foggy brain)smile

I’m jealous. It is Winter here and not much is flowering except the bright yellow wattle trees look lovely. One daffodil is out in our front yard, however.

Callistemon21 Thu 28-Jul-22 14:10:19

Lovely photos, thank you

I don't seem to have many flowers to pick in the garden but we do have a lot of lavender which the bees are enjoying.

We've picked (and eaten or frozen) lots of fruit and also courgettes and one runner bean!

I don't pick flowers. I have a good view of some of them right outside my living room French window, so can enjoy them until the first frosts.
