I had a skin eruption which the gp called a carbuncle. I had sent a picture to her. I was prescribed flucloxacillin for five days. It did not heal. I phoned the surgery and was told no appointments till three days hence but gp pharmacist rang back and prescribed another five days of penicillin.

All good, but what do I do if the second lot do not work?

Wait and see if things resolve. If not contact surgery again.

If you can't access help from your GP, do phone 111.

Not all antibiotics are the same and hopefully the second prescription will do the trick. If not, contact the GP again. I in you well and hope the condition clears up.

I have quite a few on my hands they last awhile then deflate as balloons do. I went the GP about mine two years ago he told me it will deflate got no meds for it.
