Hi GNs, was discharged from Physiotherapy and referred to Neuro Therapy......never heard of this type of appointment..has anyone in the past / recently had them and if so, what type of therapy is this? Amazingly, I've got an appointment in November so thats a quick turnaround referral but what should i expect?

I have not heard of this being prescribed on the NHS, are you in another Country? You can google the definition, but seems to be a form of biofeedback?

We had some after my DH had a stroke, on the NHS, we went weekly at first then she extended the period inbetween over all about 6 months, but we needed more so went private with a Neurological trainer which we still go to. It more about retraining the brain by doing repetitive exercise. She was also very good at referring us to other services which we would not have known about.

This is a NHS referral from local hospital- the former Physiotherapist was very surprised that I had no real follow up from stroke 12 yrs ago resulting in right side neuropathy. Since bad first fall 3mths ago mobility and energy levels decreased- also cognition impairment.. can write ok but speaking have issues… so any advice would be appreciated…
