I have just spent a sleepless night after receiving a Jury Service Summons for 1st September. I am 73 years old and have been observing all the lockdown rules. I haven’t been into any shops or other public places for nearly 4 months. Now I feel that I am being told I must put all that aside and go into a court room with lots of other people to do my duty! Apart from this I am hard of hearing and if everyone is wearing masks it will be a nightmare to follow what is being said. I have already done Jury Service 20 years ago. I thought the cut off age was 70 but now read that it was raised to 76 a few years ago! What are your thoughts?

Is it me or am I getting mixed messages
