Hi I am a new member and thanks for the add. I did see on here somewhere that you guys were talking about the above. However, now cannot find it. We always get ours on around 5 or 6th of November. Long before the DWP letter arrives. Nothing so far though.

Oh that is really early. We get ours at very end Nov-beginning if Dec

Ooh, I'm not eligible, but wonder if Mr P might be!

Please can someone tell me how old you have to be to get it?

suziewoozie Mon 09-Nov-20 18:42:17

Got my letter last week - not paid yet.DH has not heard yet.

suziewoozie Mon 09-Nov-20 18:44:32

You have to be getting state pension

Calendargirl Mon 09-Nov-20 18:45:34

I think it’s state pension age phoenix, unless you’re on certain benefits.

I have just applied for "WARM FRONT GRANT"

I'm not entitled to the Winter Fuel Grant until next year when I reach 66.

But you can apply for the Warm front one.

If you go to Gov website or google Warm front. It will tell you the criteria. Even if your not sure apply or give them a ring.

Most of the energy suppliers are listed.

It is £149 towards fuel costs.

Mine normally arrives around February.

It comes as Credit on your Bill. You don't actually rec the money just credit.

phoenix Mon 09-Nov-20 19:33:28

Nope, we don't qualify!

However apparently Mr P is entitled to £6 pw towards heating from his employer as he is working from home.

But will be ask for it? Will he buffalo!

chelseababy Mon 09-Nov-20 20:07:53

Isn't the £6 from HMRC? See Martin Lewis, money saving expert for details

Yes and it’s towards additional household expenses directly arising from WFH.

phoenix Mon 09-Nov-20 20:19:25

Thanks both, will look into it.

If I left it to himself it wouldn't happen!

ginny Mon 09-Nov-20 20:26:16

We got our letters today. This is my first year. DH got £200 each year, now he gets £100 and I get £100. He very kindly said I could have his as I feel the cold. ??

Hetty58 Mon 09-Nov-20 21:11:32

bikergran, Warm Front was replaced by ECO in 2013!

merlotgran Mon 09-Nov-20 21:17:25

We had our letters last week. I think the payment normally comes through round about the 17th November.

Hetty58 Mon 09-Nov-20 21:18:36

Aha, you mean the Warm Home Discount - nope, I don't qualify (for anything, ever).

lemongrove Mon 09-Nov-20 21:19:59

Haven’t had our letter as yet, but I thought it was usually early Dec.I know it was late last year for some reason.

Ngaio1 Mon 09-Nov-20 21:20:58

lemongrove Mon 09-Nov-20 21:22:47
