Edinburgh needs a Boris, says London Mayor’s dad. Any nominations?

Stanley Johnson was in Edinburgh to address a Conservative party dinner. He claimed the role carried out by Boris in London was a model which ought to be followed here.

Tory councillor Dominic Heslop would suggest former Lord Provost Eric Milligan for the job. "He was a very recognisable figure. Boris is a popular guy who transcends normal political boundaries – and I would say Eric is a similar sort of character.”
