Care with dignity

I'm horrified to hear that a fifth of hospitals are being accused of failing to treat older people with dignity. This is an issue that's been going on for decades now.
Have you had any experience of this either yourself or for a member of your family?

I can only say that my 91year old mum is treated with the utmost of consideration and dignity by everyone in the NHS. I think it may help that she is as bright as a button and has a good sense of humour. At a recent visit to the dentist, he was conscious of her aching back and as he tilted the chair said "tell me if I go too far". Her instant response was " its a long time since a young man said that to me"

Wonderful. One thing I sincerely hope for is that I stay mentally sharp as I get older. It's good to hear that your mum has positive experiences with the NHS.
