I must admit that up until now I've only looked at the main Forum - the Active threads - and joined in there.

I've also gone in for a few competitions and won a couple of books.

So now there are two of us!

Hi, how many Norfolk ladies are out there now? I am on site looking for local volunteering details, but unable to find anything. I am 60 years old, live in Thetford and will be finishing work next May - do any of you volunteer and can maybe point me in the right direction?

Having literally just joined this site and looked for the Norfolk page, found it and what a bundle of joy it turned out to be! It has failed to generate any response or interest and is now classed as a dormant thread, surely there has to be a few sociable folk out there?

Hi I am just outside Harleston on the suffolk/Norfolk border. I have just joined Gransnet. It's really interesting.

I don't think it's that us Norfolk few are unsociable, it's more that Norfolk is a big county with appalling transport links. I'm in Aylsham so Harleston, Dersingham and Thetford mean we are all about as far apart as you can get without falling over the border. That, and life is full and busy especially during the day, so that tapping away on the forum with my feet up in the evening, or over a coffee at six in the morning is about as social as I can get.

Yes Norfolk is a rather large county with a very strange network of transport! It's a real shame. I live in a village and I get very lonely. It's not very friendly here and I would love to chat more on this wonderful website.

Like NflkDumpling we are not unfriendly just isolated and agree that before 06.00 or between 19.30 - 2400 ( last of my scallywags drugs due then) Too knackered after that.

Lucy - Harleston is surely big enough to have clubs - WI etc? Can you not get into town and join stuff there?
