The Wright Stuff ‏@5WrightStuff asks...
Do you think there’s such thing as a normal family?

As a sociologist I have to say that normal is always historically & culturally defined and currently seems perhaps a little more than in the past, with less pressure to conform publically than for example in the 1950's

How would you define the normal family?

Gosh, our extended family has couples on their 3rd or 4th long term relationships - many with offsprings - and it all gets very very complicated even though on the surface most conform to the 2 adults plus kids model. Our extended family spans various professions and income brackets and see the same at all ages & incomes....

Make me wonder if so many breakups point to something in the trad 2 plus kids monogamy is past it's sell by date.
