Hello - I'm a novice enthusiast with quilting/patchwork and wondered if there were any other like-minded Grandparents (trying to be pc 
) out there? Just as important .... does anyone know of any nice fabric shops in our area? It strikes me they are getting fewer these days. I know we can go on line and shop, but there's nothing quite like seeing and touching the fabrics.
We just joined The Scrapstore and they had loads of offcuts in there. We brought lots of fabric home and I'm having a go at making my daughter a skirt made of different strips, so kind of patchwork. Have never made one before so wish me luck 
Oh that's worth knowing. Although Scrapstore is a listing I've never been there. I can see I'm going to have to make a visit! Thanks for that.
