Christmas Dinner Disaster

I am probably in the minority but I don't like cooking and Christmas is no exception.
I think I have made all the usual mistakes over the years, soggy veg, lumpy gravy and burnt spuds.
For the past few years I have prepared a hot buffet which has been well received. Not traditional but enjoyable and stress free.
My husband and I both wish we had married a chef!

hi scottydownsouth.
why dont you embrace the cooking and share it with your husband. One can do the preps while the other watches the timing, use an alarm clock.Waiting for pots to boil can be an ideal time to discuss the next days dinner.

Good advice agile75 which I think we ought to adopt. I remember cooking a Sunday roast and when the meal was finished realised I hadn't taken the chicken out of the oven and we hadn't missed not having meat on our plates!!
