How can I add a listing?

First of all, what would you like to list? Your local library? A community event? A singing club? Go to the relevant Gransnet Local site and find the category that most suits it from the list on the left-hand side of the screen. As an example, let's say you wanted to list a singing club.
Find Clubs and societies on the left-hand side, and click it.

Choose your sub-category from the pink boxes (in this case, it will be music) and click it.

On the next page, click the blue Add a listing box in the top-right corner. A form will appear.

Fill in the form with details of your club.

At the bottom of the form, you will see two options you can select (see below). Selecting the first option (even though it says "I own or run this business...etc") is the one we recommend. It means that you can change the listing in the future, should you need to.

To upload a picture to go with the listing (we're suckers for a pretty picture), click choose file underneath one of the black boxes at the bottom of the form. A box will appear that allows you to choose a file that you will have saved to your computer earlier.

Find and select the picture, then click ok, and the picture will be saved to that form. Please note, it won't appear until the listing is published, so don't worry if the box remains black.

When your form is ready to go, tick the terms and conditions box. You can then preview your listing, or go ahead and publish it.

What about meet ups?

Meet ups are usually organised by Local Editors, but please feel free to organise one yourself via the local forums. They usually involve tea, wine and cake in no particular order...
