Local Council Elections

I was very disappointed this week , I am 84 years of age and I took an interest in one of the Candidates and indeed the Party concerned . I took such an interest as to place a few Tweets on Twitter to give a little support . The voting day came along , I voted as usual , then of course voting closed and the following morning comes along so on the evening I bought the local paper to see how my candidate had done - there was not a word in it that I could see, so I bought the following days's paper
and there was one page and a half in it . My question - should not the local press publish more detail about the voting etc. If this always happens , is there no wonder so many people do not vote . I saw very very little about my candidate or the party .
