Harrow New Year meet-up

I'm thinking our next (third!) local meet-up could be in January? The café in Pinner seemed fine unless we want to ring the changes? Which day of the week works best for people?

Charleygirl Mon 01-Dec-14 12:29:20

January would be great for me. Tuesday seemed to work out fine and that cafe was ideal, much quieter than the previous place.

Do not forget that it cannot clash with your dental appointment- assuming that you have made it? You may have to make a series of trips before you will receive the full benefit.

I am aware that there is a lot going on at home at present but I am sure that you could make that vital appointment, you have to be brave.

Thanks Starling , January is good for me and Tuesday works most weeks...

Starling Mon 01-Dec-14 13:03:31

Ok a Tuesday in January - how about 21st? Or week before - or week after?!

lacwhedy Mon 01-Dec-14 14:37:04

Hello Iacwhedy - welcome to the Harrow forum!
(Is that a capital I or a small l at the start of your name?)
Look forward to meeting you in January.

Thank you again for leading on this Starling. I can manage the 21st but would prefer either the 14th or the 28th as I have a 1 o'clock meeting on the 21st. I'd agree that we should stick to the same venue.

Any progress with the dentist?

Charleygirl Tue 02-Dec-14 21:37:29

The same venue seemed fine for parking near by as well as a decent coffee served. Tell me the date and time and I will turn up!

Hermione Tue 02-Dec-14 21:48:40

Charleygirl where did you park? please..

Charleygirl Tue 02-Dec-14 22:02:49

I parked in the main road, and the cafe was on the opposite side of the road, a few yards away. If you are not familiar with the area, maybe M&S food store car park would be more suitable? It is a public car park and I use it whenever I go, - M&S pay the 1st hour's charge if you spend £15. I can always find out road names which escape me as I am familiar with the area.

Hermione Tue 02-Dec-14 22:09:02

Thanks Charleygirl If there is room on the road that will be fine if not the car park will do..

feli Wed 03-Dec-14 18:28:17

Hi all, all this sounds pretty cryptic. Love to join the group but how do I find the exact cafe. Do u mean the m&s carpark on love lane? Tuesdays ok with me too.

Charleygirl Wed 03-Dec-14 18:54:21

Yes, feli that is the car park but as stated there are parking spaces on the main road. I do not think that a date has been decided yet.

Starling Wed 03-Dec-14 20:52:34

Can everyone do 28th Jan?
2nd question: 11am or 2pm?

Feli I will private message you re which café.

Hermione Wed 03-Dec-14 21:15:07

28th is ok for me and I am easy with the time.

Charleygirl Wed 03-Dec-14 22:54:42

I would prefer 11am on the 28th Jan

Grannynise Wed 03-Dec-14 23:22:39

11 on the 28th sounds good.

I see Ealing Christmas events under your name, Starling. Are you going to the dentist there or in Harrow?

Starling Thu 04-Dec-14 13:41:51

OK I think we are going with 11am on 28th Jan at the Cryptic Nans café in Pinner.... (PM me if unsure of café).

I'm hoping that's OK with as many people as possible.

I just have to think how to identify our table for people who haven't been before. The mascot used the first time is currently in storage!

Starling Thu 04-Dec-14 13:50:15

Hold on everyone - just went to write this in my diary and the 28th is a Wednesday!!!!

How did that happen!? Did we mean Tues 27th Jan?

It was my fault I see, re-reading the thread hmm - and I have no excuse as I have an academic year diary.....

OK so assuming the Tuesday and the 11am are still OK that week, the actual date is 27th Jan.

Sorry for any confusion.

Charleygirl Thu 04-Dec-14 14:29:29

That sounds fine, I will be there.
