I suffer with arthritis, which I'm sure some of you can relate to. The pain has been getting so bad that I visited my doctor who referred me to physio. Because the pain is in multiple joints there is no one area that he could work on so he gave me some leaflets and an exercise sheet especially designed for people with arthritis. He also advised me to visit our local sports centre who do a class called a 'Therapeutic swim', exercises using the water to keep the pressure off your joints. He also said to join the gym, as they could suggest equipment and things to do without putting pressure on my joints. I have now started both of these things, but have to admit it was hard at first. I am determined to keep going though, apparently being fitter helps with easing the pain and I also want to lose some weight. Have any of you made this same resolution and if so, how is it going, I would love to know and if any of you have any tips to offer. It is too easy to give up when you're doing it on your own, and it would be nice if we could make this thread a place to go and post how you're getting on and maybe give each other encouragement to keep going. Over to you ladies.......
