Why not? I go once or twice a year from Bristol. Its all about nostalgia. Its lovely. A walk along the front, on the beach if the weather is good, with an ice cream or candyfloss. Otherwise, a brisk walk up the Pier and back again, and fish and chips at the café opposite the Pierhead. Or coffee, tea, and cakes - or cocktails, wine and nibbles, or whatever (not in the fish and chip shop!)? Then home again. Lets explore?

We were chatting about Weston on another thread last week.
I mentioned staying at Dauncey's Hotel some years ago.
They still had a Palm Court trio.
Lovely 'time warp' hotel with outstanding food.

onmyown are you suggesting a group outing? If so I think I would be up for that!

Took a couple of GC last year they loved the donkeys just as their parents had when they were young, lovely nostalgic day.

I can't make a seaside trip til May but would love to hear if anyone else goes - can't remember the last time I went to Weston.
Do they let Grans on the donkeys?
