Campaign to cut medication waste

Together with Basildon and Brentwood CCG, NHS Thurrock CCG have launched a new campaign to raise awareness on the extent of medication waste in south west Essex, and they are calling on Thurrock residents and organisations to help them spread the word.

Estimates put the amount of unused medication waste at £2.5 million across the two CCGs. The new campaign - Waste Not, Want Not - will raise awareness of the extent of wastage and encourage patients to talk to a health professional about their medications. You can find out more here.
