Thank you for the info. Will look into using it at some time. I love the bus journeys, especially the meandering ones.

The 142 currently runs Blagrave St in Reading (stop EO/EP), 8.50, 11.20, 13.50, 16.20 via Caversham Library, Whitchurch (The Sun & Greyhound), Pangbourne station, Beale Park, Basildon Park, Streatley, Goring station (with intermediate stops). Full journey c 50mins. Mon-Sat. They have timetables pasted up at their stops. From Goring times are 7.35, 9.50, 12.15, 15.10. There’s a new service 144 on Sundays, similar route but takes in Purley & Tilehurst.
The other buses are 133 and 134 between Goring and Wallingford, 138 between Wallingford & Dorchester-on-Thames, and 137 Wallingford to Watlington on Tuesdays. Best to check on website for timetable changes.

They say you can hail the bus at any safe location though not the Reading-Caversham bit.

Sounds good, but have you any more info. No of bus ? Where from? etc. Thanks in advance.

I’d like to recommend the friendly “not for profit” bus service between Reading and Goring via Caversham, Pangbourne, Beale Park and Basildon Park. We’ve used it for good days out. Other routes include Wallingford and Tesco Didcot - they aim to cover local transport gaps. Bus passes accepted.
