Relocating to rye

Hi I’m looking to move to rye in January to be nearer my daughter and grand children I don’t know the area all though it looks very pretty and iv seen good reviews about it , would any one pls be able to give me advice about is it easy to get know people and hopefully make some friends its daunting moving away from every thing we no advice much appreciated

Hello and welcome! I live in Battle which is a fair distance from Rye but I go there quite often and it's a lovely place. I'm sure you will find lots of ways to meet people. You can use this forum to try and arrange a meet up with local members although I haven't had much success with meet up so far! You are always welcome to come to Battle and we could meet for a coffee. Maybe there is somewhere nice half way. I will investigate. Keep in touch and hopefully we can get together after your move. smile
