Hello everyone!

If you are aged 50+ and you have few minutes to share your opinion about the importance of being socially and mentally active, I would be really grateful.

Click on the link below to start the survey:

My name is Mena, I am completing a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and as part of my course I need to create a survey and analyse the responses to evaluate the business opportunities when undertaking “experiences”/ activities.

The information gathered from this survey will not be shared with any other organisation and it will only be used for the purpose of my dissertation.

If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Done grin

But you didn't ask about the mental or intellectual aspects of staying active.

I didn't see one question about keeping the brain bright and focussed which, to me, is every bit as important as
keeping the body going.

What about the MOOC courses and adult education classes, U3A and so on ?

I am a Life Member of VU3A (Virtual University of the Third Age) because I was a founder member, now the only one left I believe. All the others have 'graduated.' smile

Agreeing with the above.

And I get very cross when considered to have stepped into some age-related abyss on reaching 50.

well I filled it in and ended with the comment 'damn silly survey' :-) I don't think they will find it helpful

I did try Mena but I stopped half way through. What exactly do you think 50 year old, working full time with a pre teen needs that differs from eg a 40 year old? I don’t think your questionnaire was sufficiently designed to address that.

And in a side note - a Masters in Entrepreneurship?!

Done but rather a silly survey. A great difference in physical ability of a 50 year old and a 90 year old.

Not sure the survey outcomes will be useful.

Your age range is too wide. I'm very different at 78 from the person I was at 50, with two teenagers, a full-time job and not much time for social activities.

At 50 I had a DC at college and two teenagers at school, an elderly MIL to worry about, a DH working overseas, a full-time job and a dog.

Did I socialise much? It was all a bit of a blur really, I can't remember.
