The audience of QT has always been packed with brexiters, some of whom are racists, but this week they sunk to a new low by posting a vile video of a racist rant online.

That poor man who was sat next to her!

Daddima Fri 21-Feb-20 19:12:03

She lost me at ‘ 68 million people in ENGLAND’!
A fan of Mr Yaxley-Lennon too.

EllanVannin Fri 21-Feb-20 19:43:37

So a person is " deranged " for having a different view ?? Last time I looked, this was a democratic country ? Free-speech and all that.

Dinahmo Fri 21-Feb-20 19:56:51

EllanVAnnin Where is the reference to deranged? Can't see it in the previous posts.

MerylStreep Fri 21-Feb-20 19:59:20

Daddima
If you ( or anyone else for that matter) are I doubt about the true population of the uk I would politely suggest you read an article from The Independent dated 2007
The piece is by Martin Baker.
The heading is: Facts on a plate: our population is at least 77 million

These estimates are given by utility/ major supermarkets/ sewage companies.

Greymar Fri 21-Feb-20 20:01:11

Tommy isn't Tommy though is he?

Free Steve?

Grany Fri 21-Feb-20 20:02:13

Population 66.87 million 2019

Grany Fri 21-Feb-20 20:08:54

I for one am utterly shocked to discover that the Question Time bigot is a Tommy Robinson supporting far right activist, it's the plot twist no one saw coming!

EllanVannin Fri 21-Feb-20 20:09:35

Dinahmo, I read it in some online news and it used that description.

Greymar Fri 21-Feb-20 20:22:20

So this person who supports YL and spouts racism is deemed OK?

Sorry am I mssing something?

Labaik Fri 21-Feb-20 20:28:03

There have been similar people to her on QT for several years now so not quite sure why so many people are shocked by this. I gave up watching it for that reason. As I've said before QT is the Jeremy Kyle show of politics and cannot be taken seriously.

Daddima Fri 21-Feb-20 20:32:23

The population of THE UNITED KINGDOM was 66 million odd at the last count. There are other countries involved.

EllanVannin Fri 21-Feb-20 20:34:00

While you're at it, how many of you voted Brexit ?? And why ?

Daddima Fri 21-Feb-20 20:35:53

These figures are from the Office of National Statistics ;

ananimous Fri 21-Feb-20 20:47:26

Have not watched BBC QT since I noticed the clapping sound of many, and YET, not one audience member clapping - gaslighting much?

paddyanne Fri 21-Feb-20 21:26:42

och Daddima we're well used to being called ENGLAND ,there are MP's who think we're a region so random bonkers brexiteers is nothing new .

vampirequeen Fri 21-Feb-20 21:33:55

The BBC must know what questions are going to be asked otherwise they wouldn't be able to organise the show properly. Ergo the BBC must have known what she was going to say and still allowed her to spout such racist rubbish.

Callistemon Fri 21-Feb-20 23:19:03

Wales is part of England, though paddyanne

Everyone in the world knows that!
Oh, you're from England!
No, Wales
confused
That's part of England though, isn't it?
[sigh]

I think they realise that Scotland is not.

Callistemon Fri 21-Feb-20 23:21:17

varian to be fair, I think the whole audience was stunned by her rant.
No-one applauded her

Callistemon Fri 21-Feb-20 23:22:51

vq, she just stuck her hand up to speak. It wasn't a pre-arranged question.
It was a rant.

suziewoozie Fri 21-Feb-20 23:42:05

The BBC used the full clip on its Twitter page so enabling her balanced, informed, thoughtful, comments to be shared and enjoyed by so many more. Jolly well done BBC.

Callistemon Fri 21-Feb-20 23:44:10

Oh dear
Why?

Because they thought it was so shocking they wanted to show her up?

suziewoozie Fri 21-Feb-20 23:51:57

Then that would be a high risk strategy wouldn’t it Call ? I’ve given up trying to understand what’s going on at the BBC now. But tweeting this was not a good look imo. Especially as it looks now as if she might be a bit to the right - a Tommy Robinson supporter - and at a time of a far right terrorist attack in Germany.

Callistemon Fri 21-Feb-20 23:54:37

a bit to the right !!

I just got the impression that everyone was so stunned they didn't know what to say.
Then ignored her as an irrelevance.

I am very surprised to see that it has been tweeted.
